During our Vietnam trip, we spent 3 nights at Nam Bo Hotel. Our overall experience at the hotel was pleasant. The hotel boasts a superb rooftop restaurant called l'Escale, which we highly recommend. We also took a morning boat trip in the Mekong Delta, arranged by the hotel with guide Hai, which was excellent and worth it. However, Can Tho did not leave a positive impression on us: there was a shortage of good restaurants, and the night markets were much more charming in Hanoi or Hoi An. We were overall disappointed with the city. Regarding the room, we rated it 3 out of 5: it was spacious, but the furniture quality (cushions, mattress) was average, and the bathroom was not well-maintained. The location, however, scored 5 out of 5: situated by the river with small night markets nearby, it was easy to walk around. Overall, we would recommend the hotel, but unfortunately, the city of Can Tho didn't meet our expectations.

I didn't stay at the hotel but I dined at Nam Bộ Restaurant and it was the worst food I've ever tasted. I ordered two traditional Vietnamese dishes - Ca Loc Kho To and Canh Chua Tom. Both dishes were awful. Ca Loc Kho To seemed clearly reheated leftovers from previous days, poorly done as the center was still cold. The Canh Chua was so tasteless that it was unpleasant. For a Vietnamese restaurant unable to prepare these two traditional dishes well, I feel embarrassed for them. I can't express how disappointed I was.

Tôi không ở khách sạn nhưng đã dùng bữa tối tại Nhà Hàng Nam Bộ và đó là món ăn tồi nhất mà tôi từng nếm. Tôi đặt hai món ăn truyền thống Việt Nam - Cá Lóc Kho Tộ và Canh Chua Tôm. Cả hai món đều có vị rất tồi. Cá Lóc Kho Tộ chắc chắn là đồ thừa từ những ngày trước vì họ đã hâm nó lên mà không làm việc tốt vì trung tâm vẫn còn lạnh. Canh Chua thì nhạt nhẽo đến mức thấy tồi tệ. Đối với một Nhà Hàng Việt không thể nấu được hai món truyền thống này, tôi cảm thấy xấu hổ cho họ. Tôi không thể nói lên sự thất vọng mình đã cảm thấy.

A place worth exploring when visiting Can Tho

Loved staying at the Nam Bo! The staff were all so pleasant and helpful. Our room was much bigger than expected especially in a boutique hotel, with a bed room and separate sitting area. We were only in Can Tho for one night, and unfortunately it was drizzling. But we sat under the roof on the outside terrace overlooking the river and had a lovely dinner. Breakfast was delicious, kind of a continental plus plus. All the waitstaff were so friendly and helpful. It was nice to stay in a small, cozy property. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Nam Bo!

芹苴地方不大，景點也不多，最主要是看水上市場，坐船遊那個叫豐田市場是最方便的，酒店出門口就是江邊走幾分鐘就到碼頭，晚上白天遊江邊很方便

La struttura dell'albergo è affascinante perchè si tratta di un palazzo di epoca coloniale ristrutturato ad hotel. Posizione perfetta perchè si trova sul lungo fiume, proprio vicino ai moli da dove partono le escursioni in barca sul Mekong. La nostra camera era in realtà un appartamento con salotto e camera da letto. Bello anche il bagno. Alla sera, considerato che iniziava a piovere forte, abbiamo scelto di cenare nel ristorante dell'albergo e non ci siamo trovati particolarmente bene. Servizio rivedibile e piatti non esaltanti. Molto bello in bar situato al 9° piano con splendida vista sul fiume.

This hotel is in a great location but is very old fashioned and needs a bit of TLC. The staff were friendly, but I didn't find the hotel very comfortable at all. It's fine for a place to rest your head, but if you get unlucky with the rain, it's not a great place to spend a lot of time.

Man muss nicht unbedingt ein Zimmer zum Fluss haben, besser ist abends auf der Dachterrasse zu sitzen und den Flussblick zu geniessen. - Das Zimmer war sehr groß, eigentlich 2 Zimmer (wir bevorzugen getrennte Betten). Relativ einfach eingerichtet, aber für einen kurzen Aufenthalt ausreichend. - Sehr freundlicher Empfang von Mrs. Yen (?), sie hat uns geholfen preiswerte Ausflüge zu organisieren (z.B. zum schwimmenden Markt entweder mit Bootsführer der kein Englisch spricht oder mit einem Guide; ebenso hat sie das Taxi nach HCMC organisiert). Nicht gefallen · Zimmer relativ hellhörig, man hört fast jedes Geräusch der Nachbarn.

Magnifique hôtel à la décoration soignée dans le style colonial et des suites spacieuses, confortables et calmes. Bon rapport qualité-prix et emplacement parfait juste en face de l'embarquadère pour le marché flottant. La terrasse du haut est absolument charmante.

not a boutique hotel in my eyes. small hotel, yes. room was large, with a living area and free fruit. no design elements giving it a boutique look. convenient for a one night stay as just across from the place where boats go to the floating market.

Great little hotel with lovely suites, although I am unsure what the internal balcony was about. However the staff are really attentive and polite, and as we had skipped breakfast they gave us a box of food to take with us for our onward journey. Big thanks to the staff.

I really enjoyed my two-night stay here. I was lucky to have room #4 with a balcony and a great view over the river. The room has a spacious sitting room, separate bedroom with a comfy bed and powerful AC, and a shower with piping hot water and good water pressure. There was plenty of free drinking water as well as a free alcoholic welcome drink and fruit basket on arrival. The room is clean and has plenty of character. Being a small hotel, the receptionist remembered my name and was very friendly. The hotel has a fabulous restaurant and rooftop bar, and the location can't be beat. I deducted one star because the wi-fi didn't work during my stay so I had to change a few scheduled online work meetings to phone calls. Despite the wi-fi issues, I would definitely stay here again during future trips to Can Tho. I preferred this hotel over the neighboring TTC Hotel. If you visit Can Tho, grab a coffee at Time Cafe, have a cocktail at N-Nice' Cocktail and Bar and eat at Ban Xeo 7 Toi.

Stock) und Rooftop Bar (schöne Bar auch drinnen). Sehr aufmerksamer, hilfsbereiter & sympathischer Service. Welcome Drink als Gutschein für die Rooftop Bar, das ist super ! Das Hotel erinnert ein wenig (Lage/Architektur) an das FCC in Phnom Penh. Es ist eine absolute Wohlfühl- Option, wenn man auf einen Pool verzichten kann und koloniales Ambiente mag. Eine ganz klare Empfehlung ! Der Floating Market Cang Rai ist nicht mehr DAS exotische WOW Erlebnis wie früher (waren 2011 her). Trotzdem empfehlen wir einen Besuch in Can Tho, die Atmosphäre ist toll, das Hotel ebenso. Perfekt für einen Zwischenstop auf der Reise nach Phu Quoc ;-)

This is a small and lovely hotel, just across the street from the river. Only 7 suites. Our suite had a large living area with chairs and a sofa, plus a bar area. We only stayed one night, but they did a lot to make us feel welcome. When we arrived the bed had a display of 2 swans made from towels, plus rose petals. We did not eat dinner there, but went to the Lighthouse Restaurant instead, which we recommend. At breakfast on the terrace overlooking the river, the hotel gave us so much varied and tasty food that we could not possibly eat anywhere near all of it.
