999 Triple Nine Boutique Hotel Huahin

A large two bedroom apartment. The design is a bit unique with the living areas buffering the bedrooms from the outside walls and the noise from traffic. The bathroom has a door to each bedroom directly. For privacy, you can lock the other bedrooms door so no one walks in while you are on the toilet. Works fine if you remember to unlock it again once you are finished. Not pleasant to bang desperately on the other bedroom door like Fred Flintstone when you are desperate to go to the toilet in the middle of the night if they forget. I booked this as an "Agoda Home" through Agoda. This is the first time I have booked this type of accommodation via Agoda and wasn't prepared for the lack of service to the room EG making beds, empty rubbish bins, cleaning floors etc.This would have been a beautiful unit when it was new. Now all the minor maintenance issues that have not been attended to have let the overall condition slide eg bathroom, kitchen sink, and sliding doors to the three balconies. Wi-Fi is really good. In fact we were able to watch Netflix on the nice Samsung TV without issue (through my Roku device I brought). Location is good, being only a few minutes walk from the railway station and about 5 to 10 minutes walk to Hua Hin Beach. there are plenty of restaurants just outside from which to get European style breakfast and a delicious cappuccino afterwards at Suma Coffee across the road a little bit South. Night markets are a short five minute walk north from out the front of the unit. On arrival, you get the keys to the unit from the lady working in the bar / coffee shop near the entrance. Our unit was on the second floor and there is no elevator, so not ideal if you have mobility issues. Each bedroom has its own split system air conditioner, with the living area having a larger unit. All worked well. The bed in the main bedroom that I slept on was firm and the pillows a little thin but I slept quite well here. If they just put an exhaust fan on the window of the bathroom and replaced/tidied up the fittings a bit the unit would be excellent and easily command an extra 500-1000 baht per night. Once there is an exhaust fan in the bathroom you could change the bathroom doors to ones without the lower open slats. No one wants to lay in bed and hear clearly someone else going to the toilet. If not for the large, tidy and tastefully decorated living areas I would have only given three stars. But two bedroom units of this size and location aren't easy to find at this price.

Accommodation is convenient, spacious, comfortable, like being at home. The only downside is that there is no parking. And in Hua Hin, getting a parking space seems like you have to have a lot of luck.
