I recently stayed at this establishment and unfortunately cannot recommend it. While the price was affordable, the hospitality was disappointing and the staff seemed disinterested in providing good service. The Wi-Fi was unreliable, and the AC was not cold enough, making it uncomfortable to stay in the room during the day. While the location is within walking distance to Patong Beach, it's not worth compromising on basic amenities and friendly service. I hope the management takes note of these issues and works towards improving the overall experience for future guests.

Liked ·1. Located at the quiet end of Patong. Still very close to beach and all other shops. Beach is 7mins walk and Bangla Street is 10mins walk.2. Dorm room was more like a hotel room converted with bunk beds. Super clean n neat. Excellent bathroom. Free towels, soap, shampoo3. Quiet hostel with excellent guestsDisliked ·1. Wifi wouldn't work in the room, made it harder for my office work.2. No kitchen to cook anything but has utensils to bring food outside and eat if you please3. Pool was a little dirty most of the time despite the motor being turned on.

Stayed in the shared, mixed-gender room which accommodates four people for six nights.For starters, if you’re staying in this room, it is a low-budget option, and expectations need to match the price you’re paying. My bottom bunk bed, closest to the door was very firm (like hardest “mattress” ever, and probably was just missing a cushion altogether). I asked for additional blankets to be added, but little could be done so I just sucked it up and convinced myself it was good for my back. Shower was fine but did not have enough hooks to hang a towel or really anything. Rooms comes with a small mini-fridge with a small freezer area inside. There’s enough regular Thai-style outlets to charge electronics. It has a shared closet for storing baggage, but there is no personal security, and you have to depend on blind trust/respect. Door barely closes as well which did not help with noise.It got three stars because the outdoor space was nice with the small pool to dip my feet and the chairs to sit and do work. Very peaceful and quiet area for Patong, but if people are socializing, you will hear the chatter in the room. Beach towels are also available and included.However, the biggest perk was having access to easy motorbike rentals that were as low as 150-200 THB. Highlight of the stay, and at the end of the day, it was just a cheap place to sleep at night, and it did the job.

Square One hotel truly vaulable 2 star hotel. Staff are very polite& helpful. The room that I stayed has wonderful mountain view, super clean, enough space,TV functions well,big bathroom& small refrigerator. At lobby, there is a small swimming pool.Hotel is quite new with very clean space. The hotel is located on the quiet area of Patong. Walking to Patong beach takes 10 min.One bad point: WiFi is not stable. High recommened for budgeters

I stayed in Squareone in room 12 for 33 nights. This is what they call "Superior room"Lets start by saying that this is not the 4 Seasons. This is a 2 star budget hotel.Given that, this is probably one of the best 2 star hotels I have ever stayed at.Let's start from checking in. I arrived at hotel a bit earlier than 12 due to flights, but my room was ready and in 5 minutes I was shown in my room without any hussle.The room was big, had WIFI (although a bit spotty at times), a big bathroom with a shower.Room included 2 bottles of water and some free toiletries.There was also a small safe in the closet. Keep in mind the safe is good for documents, money, jewelry. Can't fit a laptop or tablet in there. According to the information mentioned next to the safe, only hotel manager can open the safe. No staff has access to it.Hotel also offered laundry serviceThe hotel in general was very quiet and felt very safe. there are like 7-8 cameras on the main floor, and a few more in each floor. I never felt like anything bad could happen here.The stuff was very accomodating on my few requests. I asked for hot water couple of times, some garbage bags.Finally when i checked out, I had to stay a bit longer after check-out time (like 30-40 minutes). I had no issues with the hotel.There were a couple of things that could be better. But keep in mind these are more of nitpicks that real issues.I think that my most important issue was the the fridge was on when the hotel key card is inserted in the slot in the door. That means two bad things. First when you return to your room after a few hours, there is no cold water because the fridge has been off for server hours. Secondly, you can't have things that require constant refrigeration (like milk) because they will turn bad real quick.Rooms could have a water heater. That would make life much easier.Finally the other main issue that I had was with the air conditioning placement. The AC was pointing directly on the bed so it was not always feeling great when sleeping. Sometimes it was very cold, sometimes warm.All in all, these were minor grievances. The stay was great.
