I previously gave this a 4 star review. I've stayed here at least 5 times in the last ten years. Last time I was here was 4 years ago.The room has had zero maintenance in the last four years, not even a coat of paint. It looks dirty and worn out. The bed and pillow are nice and the a/c works well. The hot water is fine.There is no more morning breakfast and there is no service here. Call on the phone and someone collects the money 500 a night, and that's the last I saw of anyone. The second day, no new water or towels, no service at all.For me it's very sad, as this is a real cool setup for a hotel but there's just zero maintenance and the place now just looks old and shabby. Plus without the breakfast area you never see the people that run it and they were very nice people as I recall. Oh well, I probably will not stay here in the future but it was nice while it lasted. Late edit: I should add all the rooms but one are rented out by the month to long term Thai working people. They’re just no longer expecting tourists here.

I'm very impressed. What if you travel home? Will stop over at Khon Kaen. Choose to stay here regularly. The owner's aunt is very kind. Spacious room, clean, reasonable price, close to Central, parking, can walk.

The rooms were basic but clean and comfortable. The hotel owner Veena made our stay memorable. She is passionate about the area and took us to a local silk village which was a highlight of our entire time in Thailand.
