Very bad experience overall. Toilets and showers very dirty, rooms with no AC during the day and the owner very rude and unfriendly. Make your self a favour and don’t come here.

I stayed at Punsuk Hostel for two nights in July 2024. At the time, this was one of the only two hostel options in the city of Khon Kaen.Positives:1. The owner, whose name I think was Pom, was extremely kind and helpful to me. She gave an extra sheet not to feel cold at night, an outlet extender, so I would have plugs in my bed, and free instant coffee and tea. Also, when I told her I wouldn't want sugar in my coffee, she brought in a jar of instant coffee without sugar for the second day. She made me feel welcomed and at home.2. The price was very reasonable. I paid about 5 euros per night for a bunk.3. A towel and a locker were provided for free.4. There is a table in the small common space where I could meet other travellers (there were not many though during my stay).5. There is a small outdoor yard (where the bathrooms are also located). If you are a smoker, you could enjoy your dreadful habit in there without needing to get out of the hostel.6. There are racks in the yard where you can hang your washed clothes. There is also a self-service washing machine available for 50 THB per use.Negatives:1. There was no soap in the toilets while I was there. So, I would need to have my own when nature called.2. There was no shower gel or shampoo in the bathrooms. I understand that many hostels in the world expect you to use your own shampoo. However, providing it for free is always a good gesture (at a very low cost) that can boost the hostel's popularity significantly.3. The location is only just okay. You would still have to walk or Grab for 2.2 km to get to the very real city center.Overall, I had a very pleasant experience at Punsuk. I will especially remember sociable, positive, and kind Pom whenever I think of my stay in Khon Kaen.Thank you, Pom.

Rooms: very narrow and hard, Air conditioning can not turn on all the time. I felt a bit scary because the toilet is out side the house.Service: When check out, I put the key on the table because staff will go to hospital. It's very quiet at the night, I don't see any staff stand by.Location: in the city, not far from station.Price: It's affordable and pay directly to staff.

I don't know how good the accommodation is, but after booking the room, we asked if it was possible to cancel, which I checked in case I could cancel because the accommodation was far from where I would do business and was like the first accommodation I booked. It was full, but they contacted me later that it was free, so I decided to cancel and go get the first dormitory. When I canceled on the Ruean Pansuk page, I was told that the refund might take a while. I was OK with it, no problem waiting. It was concluded that the money was not refunded, the financial statement said that it must be canceled before noon, and then they were not informed since they asked if it was possible to cancel. What are the details? And it is important that you should know the information from all over the coordination, it's not. I told them to cancel after a while and I would transfer it back. And then I came back to tell them that canceling after noon was not an important point. The point that made me feel dissatisfied was that the blog disappeared and they informed me of the reason. I'll tell you why we go in the blog 👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻 Or is it customer service? The format is as soon as I finish my business, I block it. I'm confused.

The staff is nice, and the reception is good. Not many hostels in the city, so I think it's a good choice to stay as a solo traveller.

It's pretty good for the price.The owner is friendly and the level of facilities is not that important unless you are traveling and staying in a hotel room for a staycation. I highly recommend it if you are looking for a cheap place to just sleep.The price is based on 2 people, so if you change to 1 person, the price is half.

Cheap price, excellent quality, clean bathrooms, has air conditioning, turns off in the cold, very friendly welcome. Very impressive. If there is a chance, come again next time. Will think of accommodation here as the first place 👍👍👍

A hostel with Pay It Forward concept. This clean and comfortable hostel locate just opposite Khon Kaen Hospital. The proceed of the hostel is used to help the patients and their relatives who are in need.

Very nice place to stay, clean, with friendly staff. I especially love their concept of Pay It Forward.When you stay here, the proceeds go to help with people in need. The project aims to help patients and relatives who came to Khon Kaen Hospital (just opposite the hostel) for a place to stay during their treatment. Highly recommend if you are in the area.

100% recommend!! Lovely place to rest and recharge. I originally planned to stay for 2 nights but ended up staying for 2 weeks.Tar was super friendly and invited me to many local events and activities :)

The accommodation is very good. The price is cheap and there is a lot of food.At the entrance to the alley there is a fruit seller. There's a lot of food. The a la carte restaurant is delicious. The elder who took care of me was very kind (P'Ta), took very good care of me. There was a seating area in front. At night the weather is very good. If it's cold, you can start a fire (put it out too, haha).
