Decent enough hotel, clearly it used to be a premium resort, albeit now dated and rooms are looking a bit tired. Peaceful enough mostly with plenty of beach and poolside seating. Breakfast is acceptable but often consists of 3-4 hot plate dishes that few people I think would choose for breakfast (e.g. Spaghetti Bolognese). There are normally two soup / porridge type options along with a very limited fruit selection (watermelon and pineapple). There is bread for DIY toast and Yogurt. Welcoming, clean and quiet, this hotel is totally suitable for a short family stay. We stayed in a beach house. The catering offerings are limited but sufficient. With a little renovation, there would be 5 of us!

Okay for the price, right on the beach. The positive aspects are mentioned in many reviews: restaurant with a view of the beach, its own beach, nice bay. Room (ours at least) simple but clean, just big enough to open 2 suitcases on the floor. Staff friendly. Eat well, e.g. bgood vegetarian pizza with a crispy base and lots of vegetables. Nice snorkeling opportunity at the edge of the bay: there are sea turtles!You shouldn't be bothered by this: the staff has little knowledge of English, no attention to it, for example. B. to dry or clean the loungers. There are no restrictions except directly in front of the restaurant. No need to look at the staff, just go around every now and then and clear away empty cans or trash on the hotel beach (garbage would of course also be nice if every guest cleaned up after themselves, but if that's not the case, it should be the hotel's job). Even clearing up when eating is slow. Overall, nice facility, but also dingy corners. If you don't look for a beach towel in time, you might not get one anymore.Room is not cleaned automatically, the sign "please make our room" seems to be there for purely decorative purposes. We had to hang outside for 4 hours until we asked and were told that you had to tell the reception that you wanted the room cleaned... so the chance of a nap was gone... you would have to have that kind of information when you arrived receive. No safe in the room.

We loved everything about our stay at Vongdeuan Resort. There is a temporary pier just steps from the resort, and it's possible to get a speed boat right to the beach from the mainland. That service is on a regular schedule both coming and going. I think it was 300 Baht one way. The resort is right on the beach, but it also has a nice pool. We enjoyed alternating between swimming in the surf and then taking a relaxing dip in the pool. We met an interesting mix of people from all over the world, some with kids others without, and everyone was super friendly and relaxed. The rooms are comfortable, clean, and well appointed. The resort menu has a good selection of dishes, western and traditional Thai, and the complimentary breakfast was tasty with many options. We enjoyed dinner on the beach one evening, and I recommend that highly, providing the weather cooperates 😅 The staff were always really friendly, and greeted us with warm smiles and pleasant words every day. Our plan had been to stay for just a couple of days, but we ended up extending to five days since we were having so much fun. Thanks for everything Vongdeuan Resort. We will definitely return!

A dream place in all its simplicity. We stayed in the best beach house (B1) and sat with our feet right in the sand. The staff is super sweet and friendly. Our driver took us to Ban Phe, to the mainland office of Vongdeuan Resort. Google Maps: JCHV+88H Unnamed Road Phe, Mueang Rayong District, Rayong 21160, ThailandThere we could easily book a speedboat (White Shark, 300Bht per person), and we were dropped off at the floating pier of Vongdeuan Beach.Vongdeuan Beach was quite lively even during the rainy season. You can't do many excursions and such on the island: if you stay here longer you mainly get peace and quiet. I thoroughly enjoyed that.

Have stayed here 4-5 times already. Impressed. The accommodation is next to the beach, has a swimming pool, delicious food, and the breakfast is good. There is also a fire show at night. All the staff are lovely, peaceful, safe, a favorite place to stay. If you come to Koh Samet

It is a good resort, good service, lovely staff. Especially the restaurant staff (Phi Pang and the group ) Very good service, beautiful beach, very good room (but we stayed in s5 The room's door breaks through. When another room next door drinks loudly, we can hear it all. The only improvement here is that everything is good.) Recommended.

We had the pleasure of staying at Vongdeuan Resort for two nights. Unlike as what we’ve read in some of the other reviews, we found staff to be super kind, welcoming, and accommodating towards us but especially towards our two young kids (4 and 2). The food in the restaurant (breakfast/lunch/dinner) is great and the location at the beach also fine. Rooms are good, although adding a mosquito net wouldn’t be too much of a luxury (as some of the hotels in the area do). But overall, we would absolutely recommend it to stay!

We had a beautiful holiday here with our 3 year old. Nice and lovely staff. Beautiful beach and swimming pool. Wake up in the forest sound daily. It’s soothing.

My favorite hotel on Koh Samet!This is the fourth time we have visited the hotel and I hope to come back again)))Beautiful, clean, warm sea, snow-white beach with starch-fine sand!Fire shows in the evenings, delicious dishes in the restaurant and BBK.Very nice and decent people at the hotel reception. Nice rooms in different designs.Lots of new, interesting acquaintances with wonderful people from all over the world!))The only thing that disappointed us this time was the restaurant waiters, namely their eldest. His behavior was incorrect and even boorish (((I hope the hotel management reads my review and takes appropriate action.But that is another story...Otherwise everything is super as always!!!

From where I went in March 20241. In the beginning, it is very difficult to reserve. Contacted by phone, called and said it was not very good, let us reserve on line. When I added Line to reserve a place to stay, the response was very slow (understandable, there might be a lot of customers), but I messaged today this morning. The next day I read but didn't answer until I forgot to reply another day. In short, to get a reservation or not, you have to say hello repeatedly many times. And there was no recommendation at all regarding accommodation. This one is not okay at all.2. The atmosphere of the accommodation is very shady. I really like this one. But inside the room is in an old condition, the lights are dim, where we are staying is a Standard room, the bedsheets are torn and have a few stains. and the room is not soundproof The bathroom is okay, not very clean.3. The food is considered delicious. The hotel's restaurant is very good. And the breakfast buffet has many menus to choose from. I really like it. The staff at the restaurant provide very good service.4. The receptionist is not very interested in greeting customers and doesn't give much advice. His demeanor didn't seem like he wanted to provide service to customers.5. I like accommodations that are next to the sea. Walk out for a bit and you'll see the sea.6. The beach is very private, few people, very peaceful.

Brilliant place to stay on the island. The breakfast was not anything to shout about but it filled you. We tried 3 places to eat while we were there and Vongdeuan's was the best in my opinion. They were more efficient and we enjoyed the food more. The others were not terrible but less enjoyable. Did not try the pool while we were there but the sea was just there and more appealing. The staff were very attentive and helpful. Watch out for the mosquitoes though, they are hungry. If staying on Koh Samet a bike is recommended which can be hired for 400baht for a full day or 100baht for an hour. Compared to other accomodations in the vicinity it was the most quiet, however the noise was finished well before midnight.
