Sun Moon bungalow is a great place to relax with a nice setting just near the beach. Tam is a funny guy and he and his family made us feel welcome. We had a wonderful time here for two and half weeks and really liked staying in our bungalow (F5). Even when it's raining, just sitting in the hammock reading is perfect.There's lots of nature around, birds, monitor lizards, nearby livestock and pesky macaque monkeys.The early morning cacophony makes it feel like you are sleeping in the jungle.Don't come here expecting five star and don't complain about the occasional insect coming in, it's part of the rustic charm and experience.Tam is more than helpful if you have any requirements or issues.Of course, the beaches are what attract most people here, Klong Jark and the nearby Ao Nui (secret beach) do not dissapoint.The only negatives of staying in this area (nothing to do with sun moon), the beach bars super inflate the price of beer, 150THB for a big one when you know you can buy it in a 7-11 for under 60THB it's a bit much... and of course the tuk tuk/taxi drivers take advantage of the seclusion down here and charge 200THB just to get to Kantiang.

By paying for the room directly on site we were asked for 1200 baths. Subsequently, we saw it for 480 baths on the internet (this price corresponds to the value of the bungalow). Don't be like us, don't be fooled!Rudimentary (no toilet paper holder, no soap, missing a blanket for one of the beds!), bordering on clean. For the same price, you will find other bungalows that are more than adequate.Concerning the rental of scooters, 100 Baths more than with other rental companies for a vehicle like the bungalows...Positive points: near a pretty beach, welcoming boss.

Sun moon bungalows is a fantastic place to stay. Nearby unspoilt beaches and adjoining jungle..lots of amazing wildlife around. In a very peaceful location with its own restaraunt. Run by a friendly and very helpful family. We have stayed here many times over the last ten years as it is so relaxing. You can hire scooters and also arrange trips and transfers. Various rooms to suit most budgets especially if you stay longer. If you come wanting 5 star for 2 star money you should probably go somewhere else. But if you want to relax in a peaceful place with fabulous surroundings then this could be for you.

We are welcomed with a smile with a little apple juice, we chose a very simple bungalow but frankly very clean. Pretty, very well maintained garden 5 minutes from a very beautiful beach. Very good food, the staff is very helpful. Possibility of renting scooters on site. To take organized walks on the neighboring islands organized by the manager. Possibility of accessing a small waterfall on foot or on the back of elephants. We chose to walk to visit a pretty cave on the way to the waterfall. We really like this simple and charming place.
