My partner and I stayed here for four night and it was amazing !!!A beautiful little bungalow right on the beach !!The beach was so beautiful, and this place is located up the quiet end of the beach so not many people around, and then you can easily walk up to more bars and restaurants when you want !The staff were lovley, and the food was delicious. The bungalows where simple but clean and aircon worked well. They cleaned our room everyday !There was also a black dog that sometimes hung around looking for some pats which we loved.This place was perfect for us xx

The beach is gorgeous. The air conditioning worked well. The huts are badly built and very basic. This is fine if the prices charged reflect the quality. The girls cleaning everyday were great 👍. However, the bathroom had cut up plastic shower curtains stapled to the wall that served as curtains. The shower was just a drible of water. Sheets were stained and torn. Bathmat was basically a cut up towel. The “curtains” (blackout material) were torn and dirty. These conditions emphasis just how overpriced Ailay is.Everything is extra, breakfast, pick up from the pier even a glass of ice will cost you 5 baht - 2 is 10 baht and a bucket is 20 baht. I’m surprised we weren’t charged for the toilet paper 🤣.The manager will write aggressive comments to everyone that has a negative or constructive remark of Ailay, read for yourself. Quite extraordinary as a quality resort will try to be polite to previous guests experiences. I wonder if she realises that new guests take note of these things. Wish we had and booked somewhere else. Lesson learned 👍. Be aware of what you are paying for.

This is a very calm spot on the island with more bars and restaurants along the beach in walking distance, if you want some change. A scooter makes life a little easier but not necessary(walkable and tuktuks).It’s the ultimate “bungalow at the beach experience” with very kind and respectful people running Ailay. It’s nice to just hang out at the restaurant-Café they have and have a conversation now and then with people staying there or with the lovely people running it. The bungalows have the basics you need and are comfortable. Don’t forget you are on an island surrounded by nature. It has simplicity to it and animal/insect friends occasionally are there with you.The room was cleaned daily by very respectful staff and all in all it has everything you need and more. Go stay there if tou can :)Thank you to staff and management <3

We rented for two weeks, was overall happy during the stay after covid (2021). I recommend to take ONLY the first or second row at front of the beach because behind is laying all the trash and debris around. The lady owner was over reacting and told us to wear masks when speaking with her or when being in restaurant.You can't cancel your booking if you come and don't enjoy it at the first time like we did (there was lowest tide during the season, so there was literally no sea), after all it was okay.
