It was amazing to be able to go for a swim right from the foot of your room to escape the heat! The food served was good and the shared toilets were also clean to use.

The room was cool! The food was exceptionally! We come only for 2 persons but they give us food like for 3-4 persons serving. The resort staff was very friendly. Minus, only for the tours and activity was not that much, but they adjust the package though, so it’s ok then. It’s silent retreat, if you are vlogger, prepare for the power bank. The electricity only on from arround 18.00 - 07.00. The sales person khun Pla is very helpful, she even help us to find public transport from pier to city.

Overall, the stay was nice, surrounded by absolute beautiful landscape and greenery! Went on a hike through the evergreen rainforest then to a cave which was lovely however, definitely bring water for this activity as it gets very warm. We stayed in one of the capsules and enjoyed it thoroughly. No AC, which is fine, there’s a fan, and the breeze at night kept it adequate. The bathrooms / showers were mostly clean, however the water pressure could have been better. Meals were served family style with lots of options which was nice and more food than we could ever eat! Breakfast wasn’t the best as there seemed to be a bit of a bee problem who then took over the jams and fruit. Would recommend staying here as the beauty of it all outweighs any of our complaints.

First of all, it should be said that the national park was a unique experience in combination with the beautiful lake and the magical mountains. The rating refers to the service, which still has room for improvement. Some of the staff are unfriendly and uncommunicative and hardly speak any English. Transport back was not included, so we were forced to take an overpriced taxi to get out of the national park. Grab/Indrive/Bolt is not possible. The tours were nice, but calling it “bamboo rafting” or “jungle tracking” is an exaggeration. We did see wild elves though, which was super cool. You could rent a kayak for free, which was really fun.The accommodation was also clean.

Actually nice facility, but way too overpriced for what it is! The staff is unhelpful, unfriendly and doesn't understand English (not even keywords like “lunch or drinks”). The activities were short and nothing special. In addition, the food is cheaply mass-produced and even water has to be paid at exorbitant prices. In addition, the toilets were underground, most of them didn't work and weren't clean, plus the showers in the toilets are cubicles 🤢. Afterwards, the return transport from the port to the office is not included and you have to rely on overpriced taxis (400 baht for a 5-minute ride). Apps like Grab don't work because drivers aren't allowed to drive to the port...

Loved our stay at the phutawan rafthouse. Rooms were cosy, the view was stunning and swimming and kayaking in the lake was amazing. The staff was really friendly and helpful. They arranged a private transfer for us and also dropped us at the pier earlier than the scheduled time so that we could board our van to surat thaniIt can get a bit hot during the day but you can cool down in the lake or chill at the restaurant.

Went here with a “one day at the lake” tour. Besides that the tour was quite disappointing (high speed with a long tail boat) the restaurant at the Phutawan raft house was disappointing too.Moderate quality food, poor cocktails (syrup and warm) and the location is for mass tourism only. Nothing to do with nature at all!

We went on a one night package deal here. The mid rating is absolutely not for the rooms or the location. The lake is absolutely stunning. The rooms (we had the wooden bungalow rather than the more expensive pods) were all you needed for a nights stay and provided great views and lovely swimming. This is mostly for the service. The staff are nice enough, but the tour and activities were sub par. If you read the itinerary and think ‘This is jam packed fun!’ - think again. The boat to transfer us from the port to the bungalows was at least an hour late. We got to the bungalows and instead of say an hour and a half free time to swim and kayak, we got maybe 30 mins before lunch. Lunch was okay, but it was cold and far too much (ridiculous amount of waste I imagine). Drinks were expensive. The tour was quite disappointing. They take off at 1pm. Ours didn’t go until 1.30. We spent an hour just long tailing it on the lake. Got to the hiking trail. This is nice, I’d say fairly easy if you’re a little experienced in hiking. It takes us to this stunning river with a few floating huts where the bamboo rafting starts! The bamboo rafting was not a nice rafting experience looking for animals (elephants!!!) and seeing nature. You get on the bamboo raft, it floats you across the river. Almost directly opposite. To the cave. The cave is cool, you just go in and have a look around, it’s a bit of a climb but it’s nice. You then go back on the bamboo raft and float straight back across the river. You DO NOT venture anywhere into the jungle to look for Monkeys or Elephants or anything. You then go back the way you came on the hike (6km in total i think) and back to camp. On the way back, they’ll take you to the famous rocks to take pictures - we sat there for a good 25 minutes while a bunch of the group took about a million selfies for their feeds. This would’ve been fine and expected, however we were already disappointed and was saying well at least there’s kayaking when we’re back! We are supposed to be back by 4pm to have 2 hrs on the lake before no longer being allowed in the water past 6pm. At this point it was 10 to 5 and we still had a 30 minute ride back. The kayak we got out tipped us out as it had a huge hole in the bottom. We had to be dragged back to the houses while towing the kayak and was dumped by the shore with absolutely no help getting the kayak full of water from the edge of the lake onto the bank. We literally were struggling while everyone watched until we started shouting at them to help. I lost my expensive sunglasses in the mess and no one cared. I’ve seen this happened to another customer in an earlier review. The evenings you’re not allowed to swim, there’s absolutely nothing going on after you come back from the tour. Dinner was a fish I watched them take out of their ‘learning centre’ earlier in the day (it’s basically just tiny little cages for way too many fish). We don’t eat fish, no one asked us what we wanted or if we had a preference. The side plates were all freezing cold. The morning safari was pretty but boring and ALSO left late. We woke up at 6 for the 6.30am safari - didn’t leave til about 6.45. We saw about 5 monkeys. Then watched the sun peak over a rock. And then we just drove back. Breakfast was a fine buffet with enough of everything. We then left (late, of course). No one speaks any English, especially the Tour guides or boat drivers. So other groups go past on the hike and we heard them being told about elephants and some of the birds but we got nothing. Also had no idea what was going on the entire time as they couldn’t tell us what was going on so we just stood around waiting a lot.Overall really disappointed as the point of it was the tours and the bamboo rafting specially but we spent less than 20 mins in total on the rafts. Waste of money in my eyes. BUT the huts were fine, the food was fine, and the views of the lake at sunset, sunrise and even the stars were gorgeous.TLDR; if youre going for activities, go with another tour. Nice enough rooms. Stunning location.

We had a one-night package with a stay in the capsule at the raft house and enjoyed a great day there, going on the boat trip around in the lake, a short hike to bamboo raft, and visit to a cave. The package included meals which were very fine, and some fairly hefty extra expenses for drinks if you so desire. It is quite busy during midday and early afternoon with tour visitors coming in.The main draw for us was kayaks in the morning where we could go exploring and experience monkeys in the wild (at a safe distance on the water). Also swimming with access directly from your cabin.Don't expect luxury - toilet facilities are modest and rather than the shower in the toilet stalls the best way for us to refresh ourselves was by a dip in the lake. The staff is very helpful and guided us through our stay.
