Accommodation period: July 2024Reservation grade: Superior roomAssigned room: 4F*Since I spend about 150 nights a year both in Japan and overseas, this is mostly a memo for myself. The main things to focus on are bathing, gym, and laundry.■OverviewOther than the lack of a coin laundry and the lack of a bath, TV, and refrigerator, the location is quite good, and the room is quite spacious. If you don't expect too much from a hotel and just want to sleep, there's no problem at all. In fact, 5,000 yen/night is quite a high cost performance on Koh Samui, where hotel prices are relatively high. If I have a chance to visit Koh Samui again, I would like to include it as a potential place to stay.■LocationIt takes about 10 minutes by taxi from Samui Airport. A few minutes walk to a large shopping mall (Central Samui) in the center of Chaweng area. It's about a 10 minute walk to the area where bars, clubs, and discos are located, making it ideal for nightlife. The beach is also a few minutes walk away. There are many restaurants, massage parlors, etc. around the hotel, so you won't feel inconvenienced. Additionally, although there are convenience stores and supermarkets near the hotel, they are not 7-Elevens or similar, but local stores run by local capital, so the selection is lacking. If you want to buy sweets, beer, etc., you can walk a little further to the supermarket (TOPS) in Central Samui. Credit cards can also be used.■Indoor-WidthClean and spacious enough. It's actually too big for one person. Or rather, it feels empty with so much empty space.-sceneryIt's hard to explain, but because the structure of the room only has a small window (glass) that allows you to see outside, it's always dark inside. This time I was assigned the second room from the lake side, so I could barely see the lake from the window, but it wasn't a particularly beautiful view. The only rooms that look perfectly clean are probably the highest grade rooms (the ones closest to the lake), which have two on each floor. If you want a bright room and a view of the lake, book a top-of-the-line room.-WifiAround 200Mb/s-bathtubLarger(I am 175cm tall and can stretch my legs quite a bit)-Hot water temperatureThe water is piping hot during the day and in the morning, but it gets lukewarm at night, so it's a bit of a problem.-Power of hot waterIt has some momentum-Bed hardnessSlightly hard-refrigeratorSlightly smaller, the limit for 1.5 liter size plastic bottles is two.In addition, even if you turn on the power and set it to the highest setting, it does not cool down easily.-Security boxcan be-OutletIt's by the bedside-hanger8 pieces-balconynone-tv setYes, but it doesn't look right so it's pointless(Although there was a list of overseas channels such as NHK World, I couldn't actually watch them at all, and even the Thai broadcasts quickly turned into a sandstorm and I couldn't watch them properly *See video)-dryercan be-toothbrushnone-Noise (adjacent room, outdoor)No particular noise from neighboring rooms. Outside, the heavy bass from some club could be heard until about 3am. However, it's not that bad and you can sleep if you're tired. It might be a little harsh for those who are concerned about it.■Gymnone■LaundryThere are no coin laundry facilities in the hotel. There are two coin laundry facilities within a 10-minute walk from the hotel. One is Otteri (a famous coin laundry chain in Thailand) right outside the north entrance of TOPS in Central Samui, and the other is The Success Laundry, which is a little further north. Otteri has more washing machines, but they are a little more expensive. Both facilities are new. It's clean so you can use it with confidence.■CleaningNo particular complaints■MealsNo meals for overnight stay■StaffBasically kind. However, I was concerned that the front staff was often absent. In addition, if you want to check out early in the morning (I think it was until around 6 o'clock, there is a note at the front desk), you need to let us know by the night before. Otherwise, there will be no one at check-out and you will be in trouble.■Others・A deposit of 500 baht is required at check-in.・When going to TOPS in Central Samui, it is better to bring a shopping bag or plastic bag. Bags are available for purchase, but they are quite expensive (they only sell really nice bags, and they cost about 300 yen...)・A dog sometimes lies at the front desk.
