Tachileik does not have a lot to offer to tourists however we really enjoyed our stay at Iris. Tata, the owner, was lovely and attended to our every need. The knock on the door with water and fresh pastries from the local bakery was a really nice touch and she also recomended a few places to eat. The room and bathroom were clean, with tv and minibar. The location is not the best as it is about 30 min from city centre (border) but very quiet.For an extra 200bahts Tata drove us to the airport and even checked in for us to prevent any language-related issues. A true example of what hospitality should be and a manager who really goes the extra mile to make the stay as memorable as possible. Thank you Tata!
