The reception staff are courteous, and overall the room is clean, but the hostel is actually a restaurant on the first floor and the rooms on the second floor, and there is no insulation at all from noise, so it's noisy until 11:00 p.m. and the cafe next door has live performances even until 11:00 p.m.

I recently stayed at this hostel and had a mixed experience. On the positive side, the customer service was excellent—every interaction was pleasant and accommodating. The hostel's aesthetics are appealing and it’s conveniently located with plenty of spas and food options nearby. The food served was a highlight of my stay, absolutely amazing!However, I was disappointed with the cleanliness. The grout in the shower tiles was moldy, and there was a noticeable unpleasant odor when I opened the shower. This condition made me reluctant to use the facilities, and I opted to shower once I reached Phuket. Additionally, while the nighttime noise from what sounded like karaoke was brief, it was somewhat disruptive.Overall, while the hostel has some strong points like its customer service, food, and location, the cleanliness issues need to be addressed to improve the overall guest experience.

Spinomad hostel is the dirtiest hostel I have ever been to in Asia. The showers look like they have never been washed, there is black mold on the floor, the toilets are not cleaned and the garbage bins in the women's toilets are not emptied every day so you can imagine what the smell is like there. There is mold and rot on the ceiling and cobwebs everywhere near the sinks. The room, however, had a window overlooking the wall and could not be opened, so the room was very stuffy and had an unpleasant chemical smell. The rooms on the ground floor are located next to the laundry room and the kitchen, so there is a lot of noise in the mornings and evenings, and the walls are so thin that you can hear your neighbor plugging the plug into the socket in the next room.

Perfect place to stay in Chiang Rai ! The room was beautiful and large, a lot of complimentary snacks and beverages. The wine bar staff is super friendly, and they make amazing coffees !! And of course, the location is perfect. I really recommend it !!

The hostel is very good for the price, among the nicest bathrooms I’ve seen in hostels, especially the shower: roomy & with private “dry” space to get into your clothes before walking in the shared space. Our room was nice, facing the back so very quiet, its only downside is that it was not possible to open the window and had no ventilation so no way to bring fresh air inside unless leaving the door open. Overall we are very satisfied

We had an amazing stay! The room was big, modern, super clean and cozy. Bathrooms are also clean and spacious, also the chill out area was super nice and equipped with a coffee/tea station and snacks. All staff were really friendly and gave a warm welcoming atmosphere. For this price I have never stayed at a better Hostel. We will come back!

Great location and easy to find. Its located neer to Chiang Rai Night Market, the Bus Terminal. Hostel above a restaurant which served good western foods and wines and liquor. Friendly staffs. Room was spacious and facilities provided were adequate. As its located along the busy street hence its might get noisy especially during weekend night.
