Very welcoming hostel, well decorated, clean. Very simple but good breakfast. We recommend this place. However, take earplugs and a mask for the night because the rooms are extremely poorly soundproofed, so you will hear all your neighbors' discussions and footsteps. There is also a lot of light entering the bedroom in the morning.

Everything was perfect to be honest. It's not the most social hostel but that could also be due to the city it's in. All in all, I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for accommodation in Chiang Rai. Extremely clean with great facilities.

This review is a bit two sided. We spent 2 nights here instead of 4.The good: the hostel is very homey and easy to connect to people in the common area which is very nice to sit in and calm down from any adventures you've had. The breakfast is simple and they had a little kitten which is so cute! We were also able to do laundry and there was space for line drying. The bathrooms and rooms are very clean and I felt very happy being there. The bad:Even though the room was very clean, we found some dots that turned out to be bed bug feces. After not finding much else we gave up and no more then 10 minutes later we had 3 bed bugs (2 nymph, 1 adult) crawling over the bed. Neither of us ended up being bitten but we did steam and dry all of our stuff just to be sure we didn't bring any with us. The staff was very kind and helped us do this, they also gave us a refund for the remaining nights. We ended up moving to a different hotel at the other end of town, but we also found signs of bed bugs there so it seems to be a city wide problem.

Although this is a nice hostel, the staff behaviour makes it very difficult for me to recommend staying here. Staff members were extremely rude to us. We had booked a tour through the hostel (which is significantly more expensive than other options from travel agencies) because it promised to do some extra places and we assumed it would be safe booking through the hostel. The tour missed out the extra places without informing us, so it was no different from the much cheaper options. When we returned to the hostel, we expressed our disappointment that we had paid full price for a tour whilst not being informed that the full tour was not going ahead. The two hostel staff members laughed in our faces, with Ninka smugly talking down to us as if we were stupid for raising this complaint. She expressed rudely and aggressively that she had no interest in helping or even taking any feedback to their false advertising of the tour and threatened to cancel the other things we had booked through the hostel if we continued to complain. When I asked to take her name down as I was upset with the service and wanted to mention my experience to the manager she again laughed in my face and said nobody would care. If you do stay at this hostel, I strongly recommend not to book any extra tours through them and instead find a travel agency who may have more professional and considerate staff members.
