Typical Laos decor. The staff were very helpful and friendly. They booked the slow boat for us at a very good price and sorted out sim cards for us as well. The rooms are confortable and spacious. The hotel is near most shops and restaurants, and quiet at nighttime for a good sleep.

We booked a trip with them to the Nateuy train station. In the morning a tuk tuk came for us and took us to the minivan station to go from there to Nateuy. The tuk tuk driver was very incompetent, even though the service included helping us get the tickets, he did not take the tickets and we had to do the management ourselves without understanding anything and we almost lost the minivan. I recommend you book the trip with the agency.

Kind hearted owner who helped me every step of the way from proving me a place to stay at a reasonable price to booking tickets for my onward journey. The owner has a kind heart as she gave me food and drink before my long journey too.

Brilliant location, large, clean rooms, excellent service and very reasonably priced. Like most places to stay in Huay Xai, the room is not modern, but was exceptionally well looked after, everything worked as it should and there was plenty of space. Above all the lady and her sister who ran the guesthouse were so helpful, unlike most other accomodations when asking for advice on tours etc they gave useful and honest advice, rather than trying to push a sale.

Stayed here 2 nights while waiting to go on our river cruise. Very basic but clean. Probably best hotel in town. Free coffee and fruit were offered in the morning. Lots of good eating spots close to hotel for dinner. Be sure to watch the sunset over the Mekong.

10 minutes by tuk tuk from Bokeo Bus Terminal. This hotel is located almost in the center of Chiang Saen city.There is a minimart and a restaurant right in front of the house, which is convenient.The room has a Showa atmosphere all over it, so it's fine if you just want to sleep.The water pressure in the shower was a little low, but hot water came out well.However, there is no elevator, so you have to go up and down the stairs...If you are coming from the Thai side, it is a 15 minute tuk tuk ride from the border bridge and costs around 150 baht.

Situated in a border ‘town’, this hotel is clean but pretty basic.|The location is good, in the heart of town with a couple of cafe/bars across the road. Plus a mini market, which was handy. The staff are really friendly and helpful, and assisted us with our long boat ticket and tuk tuk transfer, which all went well.

The bed was like a ROCK. It was our worst night’s sleep in Asia so far.The room was very old-fashioned and small.Upon arrival (no booking), staff tried to charge us 50000 Kip more than the couple that walked in just ahead of us for the same type of room! It’s frustrating being ripped off (or attempted to) and having to stay alert constantly.

The owner speaks English. She offered to book us the transfer to Chiang Rai by charging us €70 for a tuk tuk, a bus and a taxi which she probably paid €10 in total. He told us that if we wanted to see things around Chiang Rai with his driver we could negotiate a price with him once we got there. When we arrived in Thailand he asked us for 400 baht for the whole afternoon. After going around she started calling us and him a thousand times because she wanted us to give her 1500 baht (so she could pocket it herself obviously). Truly a thief.The rooms are decent, but they are old and have torn wallpaper.

The lady who checked us in and worked the desk was wonderful, helping us book our slow boat to Luang Prabang and giving us advice about the town and about Laos, nothing was too much trouble for her. In addition, her English was perfect.The hotel is comfortable and located centrally with an ATM next door and a small grocery store opposite.Our room was spacious and clean with good A/C and there was a drinking water refill available so we could avoid using more plastic bottles. (Drinking water was provided in the room too).

I spend only 1 night, and it was good experience. Clean in the room, good administration. Small nice distinctive details, for example, there was a dried lime in the room. Near there are local food. A cute dragonfly was flying in the hallway, I released it into the wild.
