Pawapi Beach Resort, koh mook

Short and painless. I didn't have the pleasure of reviewing the rooms or the facility because our confirmed Agoda booking was not accepted.You can imagine how long something like this takes to sort out, but in the end I paid and was able to show the confirmation.The service staff then said I should contact Agoda so that they could call them to confirm this.Said and done.Agoda called them several times while I was on the line and also wrote emails there.However, the receptionist claimed that nothing arrived and there was no call. When Agoda asked me if I could get the telephone number of the reception, I was refused. The hotel didn't give me its phone number or email address.A lot of blah blah follows... but in the end I say that they have to solve their problems with Agoda and not me.Service was therefore underground - there was no solution from them. No counter offer or anything like that either.Agoda - again, behaved GREAT.We then stayed in a hotel further away for less money... and got $100 in cashback from Agoda.Thank you, dear Pawabi, for being so bad. Saved me over 200 euros.

Great island and very good resort

Cancelled our reservation on the day of our arrival for no truthful reason apart from they’d overbooked we spent all day from 11-6 trying to find a hotel they offered us a very small dirty massage room at an alternative hotel we declined ! …

Never again. The pictures in the advertisement do not correspond to the current quality. When you book such an expensive resort you have expectations, cleanliness and a clean bathroom are part of it. …

I would say don't miss out here, the Pawapi Beach resort is under new management and the staff cannot be more helpful. We came here for my wife's birthday and had so many great experiences arranged for her. …

A rather excellent resort tucked into a corner of Koh Mook. Off the beaten path but within walking range of downtown. The rooms are amazingly beautiful and hang over the beach.As a response to other reviews: this is a poor island in a poor country, so if you are looking for a western resort experience this is not it. Go stay at a Marriott in Bangkok. This is a private resort owned by locals not a corporation.We stayed in Beach Villa 2 and it was great. We were welcomed with a sunrise each morning and walked out to a nice breakfast waiting for us. Staff was friendly and helpful.Highly recommend this hidden gem to anyone who is not a boomer.I can definitely say that we will be back.

We stayed 3 nights at Pawapi. Loved our beachfront hut - very rustic and comfortable, albeit without hot water ! Shower also didn’t work that well -just drizzled :(. But the balcony and the most gorgeous ocean views made up for all of the other deficits.Pool is the best ! It blends in beautifully with the blue sea - truly spectacular.Staff were very friendly but somewhat disorganized. Service was slow. Breakfast was poor - nothing to write home about.In all, the resort is perfect for people who seek peace and quiet beach vacation. Just lower your expectations a bit because you won’t get the services that you normally get when staying at 4 stars hotel.

ATTENTION‼️🚨FRAUDULENT PRACTICES ‼️BE SURE TO READ BEFORE ⚠️‼️Right from the start we started our trip to Koh Mook (Pawapi) with mixed feelings due to the destructive reviews.First of all, we noticed an emotionless, unempathetic receptionist who asked us to hand over our passports. We were then asked whether we had booked ourselves or whether it had been done through a tour operator. (In our case it was a tour operator)After less than 1 minute we were informed that no booking had been received in the system, but that we could make a new booking through them and then get our money back from the tour operator.What I found to be a very dubious practice.Because the tour operator has so far organized everything optimally during our trip.I then showed her my voucher and expressly told her that what she was saying was nonsense because we had received confirmation from the hotel.I then went to the psychopathic woman behind the counter and took a closer look at the hotel's booking program. I immediately noticed that my name was entered in this booking program.Whereupon I asked:Why did she say there was no booking in the system?Her answer to that was:She checked the name of the tour operator.The next incident was very dubious.It then turned out that everything had been booked correctly, but there were no rooms available for the class we had booked.However, there would be an upgrade and we could move into the villa.Whereupon I asked:Do we have to pay an extra charge for this?She then gave me no answer.I asked again.She replied well the room costs 8000 baht a night and the booked 5000 baht it would be nice if we could support the hotel.I made it clear to her that after all the drama before, we wouldn't be supporting the hotel with a single baht.Whereupon she said:We can also leave a positive review and recommend the hotel.By the way, this is also my explanation as to why the hotel has received some positive reviews.We didn't take them up on their offer and left the same day.I expressly ask everyone, regardless of nationality, ethnicity or gender, not to go to this hotel.In doing so, you are supporting a fraud on tourists that is intolerable.If there is any doubt about the truth of my statement, I can also provide evidence.
