This is a great place to stay, hosted by a wonderfully friendly family. We've never felt such a warm homecoming feeling. While it’s not a 5-star resort, it offers one of Thailand’s finest experiences. Many tours are available on-site. The stay was lovely, though the neighborhood is quiet; a Bolt ride gets you to the center in 15 minutes. The food is delicious and reasonably priced, and the pool is nice.If I should point out a pont that can be improved, the Wifi is not the best, so if you come with teenagers be prepared ;-). An additional shelve in the bathroom would be handy as well. Overall I would really recommend this place, you will not be disappointed.

Amazing hospitality, the staff is kind, sweet, interested and helps a lot! We were with a one and a half year old baby and they brought us a baby bed and provided a baby chair at every meal. There is a pool, great food, cocktails, cooking classes, a ping pong table, and it's very nice there!We will definitely be back!

Fantastic more traditional Thai accommodation. Clean and quiet away from the hustle and bustle. Beautiful eco friendly small resort. Very friendly and run great tours direct from Joy's cottage. Joys house will collect and drop you at airport etc. Easy 20 min grab ride to and from the centre of Chang Mai. We would stay here again.

Great place to stay with friendly and helpful staff. The hotel also offers a lot of programmes and activities in Chiang Mai. Superb place to stay in a quiet place in Chiang Mai. Breakfast was fantastic. Suitable for big groups or families too.

Amazing oasis of authentic Thai accommodation. The website does not do justice to how beautiful and relaxed joys house is. If you have a family it feels so safe for the kids to roam around the property such is enclosed. Room 14 and 15 are within a 2 bed apartment with living room right opposite the pool ( surpassed our expectations)The staff are incredible, so kind and helpful.You can organise tours, cooking classes ( well reconnected) and more .If you are unsure about staying here don’t be, stay here!

We originally booked two nights and ended up staying for five. You immediately felt very comfortable and the rooms were very clean and large. Above all, the breakfast/food was always very fresh and tasty. We also did a cooking class which was a lot of fun. Bicycles can be rented free of charge and a shuttle service into town is offered. The employees are all very nice and you feel totally welcome.

Joy’s House is truly a joy. Peaceful, beautiful surrounds, large comfortable rooms, excellent food and so many fantastic services and amenities. The staff cannot do enough to make you feel valued, we left feeling as though we were part of the family. The little cat is gorgeous too! I would very highly recommend this place as an oasis to come home to in Chiangmai.

Couldn’t ask for a better, more authentic experience. From the moment you arrive you’re welcomed like you’re part of their family and it just gets better from there. Such a lovely space with lots of amenities. Whether dining, joining their cooking classes, reading a book in the numerous areas that are beyond ideal for relaxing, this place has it all and all done so genuinely. Don’t hesitate if there’s availability.

We have just had a fabulous stay. Everything is perfect. They are a very welcoming family. The rooms are spacious, the facilities very good. The swimming pool is huge with a relaxing area. the food is excellent 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩 they also organized an excursion, it was perfect

What can we say? We loved everything about our stay at Joy's House - a true oasis of calm - and the 5-day tour of the Chiang Mai and Chiang Rai area that they organised for us with the master of tour guides, Mr Yoe! Every little detail of our trip was taken care of, and so many sights and activities were packed into our week, a simply incredible experience!! Highlights included the visits to the White Temple, the Golden Triangle and Fish Cave, bamboo rafting, eating typical dishes at local spots, and our cooking class back at Joy's House, which began with food shopping at the colourful local market! The staff at Joy's House, our guide Yoe and our driver all ensured that we had the very best time possible and we would recommend this little haven to all types of traveller. If we could give 6 stars out of 5, we would! You will love it here!!

We felt very welcome and comfortable from the first minute. Everyone is very warm and friendly. You feel at home there. A place to wind down and switch off... Breakfast is manageable, but there was enough everything. Fresh fruit, fresh waffles, omelets, homemade bread.There is also the option for dinner. Everything is prepared fresh and super tasty. If Chiang Mai, please go to Joy's House 🙏

Really wonderful stay at Joy’s House. The staff are lovely, the food they serve (either the included breakfast) or the lunch/dinner items they prepare to order.Rooms good and AC excellent. Rooms obviously a bit shabby chic but cleaned really well.Organised all my activities through them and all was great.The property is a little outside the city but taxi in takes around 15 mins and really cheap.Would highly recommend assuming this is the type of vibe that you’re after.
