Resort? Well, I would call it a cluster of bungalows on a small plot of land next to a road. There isn’t anything that would qualify as resort: no restaurant, no pool, no river, no pond, no lawn... just bungalows and a small cafe.Our room was simple and cramped with a double plus a single bed, two lounge chairs, and a coffee table in a space about the size of a small hotel room (~20square meters). The bed was comfortable enough but the lack of blackout curtains made for an early morning wakeup. But at least it was quiet, no roosters, soi dogs, or traffic noises; except for 30min of loud Thai disco music from a nearby house or car at around 10pm.There are no restaurants nearby, without your own transport it’s a bit too much of a remote location, about a 15mins walk to the main road that has some restaurants.We don’t think it was a good value, for the same price we could have gotten a simple resort hotel in the center of Chiang Mai.

Great accommodation. We stayed two nights at the Golden Palm Resort, after climbing the Doi Ithanon, and we really enjoyed the place. The cabin is spacious and comfortable. Excellent location near the parks with the beautiful ponds. The market is just few minutes away. The garden is well kept full of fruits tree and flowers. The staff is very friendly.

Very nice place. Small private bungalow for 500 bath. Outside of the town of Chomton and its crazy noise. A haven of peace in a bucolic garden.

We stayed here for one night on the way to Dong ithanon. The room with dirty floors, gecko's pooh and cockroaches. The bar doesn't exist, no breakfast and other food available. We had a lot of garbage bags in front of our balcony and sitting area. The garden is nice but it is a only one thing that they have

The resort style houses are suitable for families or groups of friends. Surrounded by beautiful gardens, there are areas for doing activities together. There is a Darin coffee shop that serves delicious drinks because the owner takes care to make every cup himself.
