The setting is beautiful and incredibly relaxing. The staff, as expected, were professional and very Chiang Mai warm and friendly.I was treated to a Thai inspired afternoon tea for my birthday and was a little disappointed. All the pieces were tiny bite size - even the scones (which were good) were no larger than a small macaroon. It also lent too heavily on the sweet side. We were hungry, so we ended up ordering a club sandwich, which was average. They did bring two beautiful birthday cupcakes which was a nice touch. And you could order as many drinks as you liked, which was great.

Great service. Great view. Great food. Wine list is pricey. But if you can afford to stay here, you cannot grumble about the prices. Value for money
