I had the most amazing 9 days at Island Yoga this summer. Everyone was so friendly and kind.Absolutely fantastic yoga teachers. I felt nurtured and encouraged. It took me right back to the mat, which I had been off for a while in so many ways. I have brought yoga back into my life since the retreat and it’s stayed . Immersing myself in dedicated time - I could feel years physically and emotionally shift. This wouldn’t have happened without the genuine love, laughter and beauty I experienced at Island Yoga xx I’ll be back

Lovely spot for a yoga retreat! Spent my days meditating, doing yoga, and scootering around the island to new beaches. The staff is super friendly and the rooms were comfortable. Loved the mantra meditations with David. Overall it was such a highlight of my trip — a great way to meet new people while still enjoying the comforts of solo time and luxury of my own room. I hope to return soon!

Pro: I loved the place. love the yoga, beach, meditation, food, and mostly the staff. Different teacher has different energy. Some hard yoga, some really chill out flow yoga. I love how this place, yoga here is about self reflection. It's not push body to the extreme(depends on the teacher). Even on hard yoga class, I can just lay down if body feels it is hard. (I am a lazy yogi). Place is very grounding sometimes basic to many eyes. But the natural energy heals and peacefulness allow me come within of myself. There is nothing I have to do here unless you want can join actives like painting, cooking, island tour.... Family and reception staff and cook all very wonderful people. They given me water bottle on arrival so I saved a lot of plastic on the island. I came on low season. I healed a lot here by relaxing and allow. I stayed in the woman dorm fan (good if you want to social). Room is basic, but I loved the basic. Thinking of return next year at low season when Georgia returns. Her energy is Angle like. Her flow yoga was more like a body mind meditation which I have not truely experience before. Her Nidra yoga was so good. one day even the local old Thai lady shows up to get some rest. Big thanks to Moo and JoyAir who made my days often. Sometimes I feel low, and once I saw Joy air, I feel better. I learned so much from everyone. Will return for sure. Beach is good to swim in high tide only. Bay Area so no waves and mostly no rocks. Pool is nice. love sunrise qigong too. Big thanks to all the teachers and everyone I met on the way, all the teachers are very grounding. I often ride bicycle to the pier for ice cream. (some bicycle might need maintenance before high season). The only sad thing is when people leaving, met wonderful people here.Con: There was sound healing course running next door and went to sound healing for extra money. Look fancy with all the instruments, but teacher Dimitri was egotistic and the whole thing was very low frequency. its not sound healing, it is sound torture. Avoid at all cost.I give island yoga that run by David and family 100000 out of 10

I firs visited Island Yoga as a guest at the beginning of February 2024. On that occasion, I booked a 10-night yoga vacation, which proved to be the ideal time to settle in and deepen my yoga practice and meditation considerably, as well as to relax and let go. I really enjoyed the location: Koh Yao Noi - a small, un-touristy island in Thailand where one can enjoy slow time, peace and contact with nature that infuse new and positive energy. I was also particularly impressed by the quality of the connections and sharing with the traveller community, the yoga classes and the exchange with the staff (including the lovely yogi cats). In short... I liked it so much that after two months of solo travel adventures in South East Asia I wanted to return to Island Yoga and applied for a volunteer work position. Thus, I spent the month of April working as an assistant cook/chef at Island Yoga's café & restaurant. Besides pushing me out of my comfort zone, this volunteering experience allowed me to deepen and nourish my yoga practice, as well as to connect and share a special lifestyle and service with many like-minded individuals within the yoga community. Overall, my stay at Island Yoga and Koh Yao Noi island was deeply enriching and inspiring - I definitely recommend it and I will certainly visit again!

I had a wonderful and quiet stay. It was a very nice environment, people were kind and open, the yoga classes and teachers were very good and breakfast was excellent. I would definitely go again and recommed it. Very good value for money.I am not giving 5 stars just because 1. the bathrooms in the dorm could have been cleaned better/more frequently, 2. the taxi to go to the airport booked by the reception didn't pick me up as expected at the pier. Despite these two elements, it was amazing. An environment with very positive vibes. Thank you to the local team <3Advice: get a room with A/C. Hottest periods like April are unbearable.
