Let me first say that if you are looking to be off the grid but still relatively close to civilization, Paradise Hotel is the perfect location for you!Before booking, ask yourself, do you truly want to be secluded or do you want to be close to amenities etc.They offer transportation to the small town which does have a 7/11 if need be, but again, there may be a cost associated with it.If you are truly looking for seclusion and a relaxing vacation, Paradise provides just that.They have the nicest, and friendliest staff. Also, there are tons of activities you can do!!! The activity centre as something for everyone.The breakfast is phenomenal, lots of options and was probably the best breakfast I had at any hotel.The atmosphere is amazing and I highly recommend staying here :)

The highlight of our Thailand trip! Amazing location, beautiful rooms. Food was incredible and super fresh. Island hopping tour was also amazing. Kayaking from the beach was a lot of fun and the yoga session was also brilliant.The only negative I had was that the guide was feeding the fish on the island hopping tour, this is something the staff should be trained not to do as it is not good for the environment.

We stayed in hotel just for 1 night but it’s so good experience to staying here staff very friendly at beach bar and restaurant hotel far from everything but we knew and we choose to come and we try to drive by scooters for check in and we did it. it’s difficult road but we are Thai and our scooters skill is not a problem for driving on this road next time we will visit again for sure.

We were here in the low season and our stay had its ups and downs. But a good experience as a wholeThe highlight if our trip was the longtail boat/canoe trip to James Bond island and Phang Nga Bay. We had a very nice private boat and friendly tour guide.We also enjoyed the gorgeous beach, the beautiful landscaping and the wildlife. There are many hornbills flying around the resort and they are so cute.The low points were the welcome we got. We had to wait over half an hour at the main gate to be picked up to go to the reception with a golf cart (which would have been a 3 minute down hill walk).Then there was the noise. We were not aware the resort would be having so much maintenance. When we made the staff aware of this problem we did receive an upgrade to a room further away from the construction and a free dinner as compensation. We strongly recommend the private pool villa’s. We regret not booking one to begin with.We did not do our research on this place well enough. We did not realize it was as remote as it is. It is not so far from the main village, but the roads are in such a state that it takes a long time and a lot of bouncing to get there. I imagine this would be better in the dry season. So plan to stay at the resort and take part in the activities here.

Paradise deserves its name.The place is superb, the employees always smiling, available and professional.The breakfast is perfect and the restaurant too.For those who want to visit the islands, it is possible to take day trips.There is also the possibility of massage, yoga, canoe and paddle rental. In short, a tailor-made vacation in an idyllic site.Well done.

If you haven't booked a room you can't even go inside for the restaurant or the beach. The road to go there is terrible especially if you are on a bike. It's almost inaccessible without a car 4×4 that only the resort offers.

We booked 8 nights in this paradise, it was incredible from the beginning, the service 10/10 the staff was super friendly and helpful, the rooms super clean and comfortable, food from the restaurant delicious ( a bit expensive if you compare with the prices around the island but considering we were in a resort it was alright) we would love to come back 😊

AMAZING. If you are looking for a place to unwind during your time in thailand highly recommend.Great staff, great outings, beautiful rooms, and yummy food.It is isolated so as long as you are prepared for that, a wonderful stay. It's a month later and still the best part of our trip

I brought 12 clients with me as part of a group trip to Thailand.From booking rooms, organising transport to / from the resort, dealing with a large group at check-in, meal times etc, the staff got everything right.The service was exceptional across the entire resort; reception, activity centre, spa, restaurant, bar, housekeeping.Little details matter; cold towels provided to cool down on the boat journey over, a turndown service provided each evening with citronella candles lit and the mosquito net pulled down over the bed, staff always on hand to help with the group.A note on the restaurant; despite being reliant on the resort for food, the price is very fair. The food is wonderful. Thai / European dishes cooked to a very high standard makes eating at the resort a very enjoyable experience each time. The staff are great. On our last night we were treated to a group dinner with a set menu of local dishes. We were greeted by the chef as he talked us through each dish.A note on the spa staff; very professional, very experienced. As a physical therapist myself, it was reassuring to know that practitioner had a great understanding of the body, what areas needed more attention and more / less pressure. I was sunburned and offered Aloe vera as part of my treatment. A nice touch that reduced discomfort across my shoulders.The resort itself is stunningly beautiful and boasts spacious rooms with spectacular views. The resort has it’s own private beach which ensures you experience a real island escape.I can’t recommend this place enough. Paradise koh Yao resort is a very idyllic sustainable secluded oasis. In contrast to many reviews here, we informed ourselves in advance and were also informed by the hotel that there were hardly any opportunities to drive into the city or anywhere else.+ Beach+ Food+ Wildlife+ Sustainability+ free canoe ride+ Sustainability+ Pool (- opening times)- - Difficult to reach- Prices and selection on site (food and tours)So the resort itself would be a complete 10/10, the food is delicious and reasonable for the price.The beach is beautifully quiet and of course you have to be aware of the low tide, but I can highly recommend walking through the gentle water. You can see a variety of animals such as crabs, mussels, starfish and sea cucumbers.We walked up the beach to the very end where the rocks were and were able to see an incredible number of monkeys.There are also many animals in the resort such as the hornbill and apparently also 2 iguanas which unfortunately we never saw. All the animals were relatively shy and you had the feeling of watching them in their natural habitat.The resort is fundamentally very close to nature, they employ 95% local people, grow most of the green plants themselves, there is hardly any single-use plastic and in general they try to use little and recycle a lot.But you have to say there are only two restaurants, a normal one, an expensive one and a very expensive one, which is actually only for treehouse guests. The normal restaurant usually costs around 1000 baht for 2 people. Local tours cost 2000-3500 baht, which would be less than half the price from Krabi or Phuket.I would recommend coming here as a couple and not staying longer than 5 days. You can have a nice and interesting stay with the canoe and in the suburbs, but if you stay longer and want to experience things you feel a bit restricted if you have to book the expensive things on site or eat or pay for a long and tiring crossing on site to get somewhere else. So it's important to be prepared in advance. All in all, it's one of the most beautiful resorts and for the price, including food etc., it's a pretty good price-performance ratio. However, if you want to do tours and experience a lot of things, it's better to do it from somewhere else.9/10

We stayed in a very comfortable Jacuzzi Studio for a few days and the room itself was very nice (although a bit further away from the centre of the resort with the restaurants, bars, swimming pool, private beach … The semi-outside bathroom with the massive jacuzzi with view on the tropical garden was a nice experience.Only disadvantage of the resort is that there is nothing outside the resort (e.g. other restaurants than the ones available in the resort).Overall the resort needs some ‘refurbishing' and they are already working on quite a number of the older bungalows.

Lets start with the positive things: We stayed for three nights, had a warm welcome and everyone from the staff was very friendly and spoke english, beautiful landscape and resort, amazing breakfast and the extra services such as a boat trip to another little island and the yoga class (which was the best I ever had) were very well organized and fun. Our room was also great and we felt comfortable.Now the negatives: The resort is secluded, as my travel companion and I like to explore the island and not only stay in the resort, we rented a motorbike. There is a 2km dirtroad which we had to take each time to and from the hotel which is horrible, lots of stones, water pits and dangerous. The resort also stated in their welcoming letter that they don’t recommend taking the road, but the alternative is either to stay only at their place and buy overpriced and not good food (breakfast is as stated good, the rest not and very small portions) or take their transfer which is very expensive if you want to explore / go out daily.On the last day I had a motorbike accident on this dirt road, just a couple meters away from the entrance and several wounds because of it, leading to an infection despite taking safety measures and a interesting visit to the local doctor to cut out some parts and more… I will not go into detail further. Of course this is not the fault of the resort. I just don’t understand why they would make this a real road / improve its safety on their own expense, it cost so much money to stay there, but maybe they want rather to sell the overpriced food as people are dependent on it and use their transfer.To conclude, the experience in the resort was good, but for our need of going outside and see an island, instead of staying only there, I would not recommend and visit.

If you are looking for absolute peace and relaxation, you will find it here. This place is not for everyone else. There is no shuttle service to the hotel and so we had to pay 800 baht each (round trip) to get to the hotel complex, which is on the edge of the island. For 200€/night I honestly expect a little more. The road there is not paved and therefore you cannot get through here even with a rental scooter. So far so good. The rooms are relatively clean but a bit old and the small outdoor pool could also be cleaned again. Finally, all I can say is poor value for money.What really bothered me were the prices in the restaurants. Of course we assumed that the prices would be higher because the facility is isolated from everything else and therefore has a monopoly position, but the prices of €9+ for really tiny portions don't work for me. Accordingly, we only had dinner once and not again. Also the quality is, well, not worth the price.The nature and the trip to Koh Pak Bia was quite beautiful and the gentleman on the longboat was also very nice.

If you love staying in a pure nature, this is the place you can't miss. The resort is right next to the national park. It might be challenging to get to the resort by your own vehicle, but the resort's transfer service is provided with some costs. Or, the speedboat transfer is also a good option. The open seaview from our room is fantastic. The staff are very attentive. The spa gave a unique experience, having a massage in a hut with no air conditioning, but it was very comfy and not hot at all. Last but not least, the hornbills are very cute. They are everywhere in the resort, making you feel like living in harmony with nature.
