Just WOW!! what a great hotel in the middle of nature! We were totally thrilled and will definitely come back! Please continue in the same way and perhaps respond to the small points of criticism from travelers! However, a lot of the complaining here is at a very high level 😉 you can never please everyone! We were more than satisfied and are happy that we did everything right with our choice! Thank you also for responding to our wishes! Why you are still only a 4 star hotel definitely remains a mystery to me! Keep it up, we'll see each other again soon!! Greetings Daniel

Wow what an amazing place. I am sure I am just adding to the already great reviews. I personally highly recommend. Something my wife did was book us for bed and breakfast this was a good idea there are plenty of restaurants close by within a short walking distance. Also there are a few along the beach too. Breakfast was very good at the hotel.

Overall it was a very nice stay, the stuff is friendly and the location is also good for day trips. BUT they shouldn't offer when they cant deliver. We wanted to check out later like the proposal said, because the transfer to the airport was 4-5pm. Instead we had to check out at 12pm and had 4 h to get over without an air-conditioned room which was insane. They offered showers but that was just very uncomfortable, our whole stuff was in our suitcases already. We had to complety change. So the vacation ended not quite good, definitely not again.

First week was great despite sea too rough to go in. Second week food quality dropped and the garden bar changed to a buffet restaurant. Some nights it was awful. ||Evening entertainment was repetitive but good. …

We took the hotel as a stopover for 5 nights because of the good reviews. What particularly caught our eye was that this resort is supposed to be better than the nearby Robinson Club (according to some reviews). We also know this one and have to say that we can't understand that. But from the beginning...The reception was very cold and not very friendly (not unfriendly either) but somehow we missed the warmth. We booked spontaneously and only normal rooms and deluxe rooms were available. For a few euros more we took the deluxe room. This was clean and spacious but I didn't see anything from Deluxe there. Also relatively bad location on the 2nd floor with a pool view at the highest point of the hotel. There is no elevator for the two floors. We're young and can handle it, but it's not for everyone. There's not much to say about the room itself. So far clean and functional, comparable to a good business standard from chains like MotelOne. There was no room service twice even though there was daily cleaning. The hotel complex is very successful overall due to the focus on nature and animal diversity and is therefore something that you don't find that often. But if you take a closer look, many corners are not particularly well maintained, and there is also a lot of renovation backlog on all corners (nothing bad, but you can see it). There is a bar on the beach itself, not particularly inviting and dirty in many corners. Doesn't invite you to linger for a long time. Every little Thai beach shack is much more inviting. The facility is not small but not huge either. I don't want to know what it's like there when it's fully booked in high season. Particularly a point that represents the nearby Robinson. Their facility is three times as big with not many more rooms. Normal rooms don't cost any more there than in the Merlin. The breakfast is fresh and varied but very tailored to Western European people. If you compare the breakfast with other hotels in this price range, it is rated as below average. We were also missing fresh juices that didn't come out of the bag or smaller highlights like soup stations or similar. The waiters are very nice. The area is very touristy. There are three other hotels next to the resort. This means that the access road only consists of tourist shops and restaurants with promoters. Typical responses in the form of: hey my friend, here best food, taxi taxi or masssaaaage. All things that we don't like at all and are annoying. I felt like I was in Turkey or Egypt.I don't have to go to Thailand for this feeling. I've only met one there so far, otherwise I've always had one in Thailand.Well... if you would like to get in touch with people from Germany and don't want to get involved in a lot of new things, this is the right place for you, but you definitely won't get to know Thailand there. For me, the resort plus guests had exactly the feeling you get on any Aida. Everything is so typically German.Have fun for those who feel comfortable in such a setting, it's not for us. Just too German and familiar. For the same or less money, there are many other nice resorts with more of a sense of customer loyalty.

We stayed in this hotel for two weeks. It's like being in a tropical rainforest and you have greenery all around you, including diverse wildlife in the form of monitor lizards, geckos, squirrels, butterflies and a variety of birds.Service at breakfast was mixed, coffee was often only available upon direct request, and plates were only cleared away late. However, there was little to complain about in terms of the variety and quality of the food. Delicious omelettes and egg variations prepared on request.Overall, there were very few loungers at the pools, and sometimes when the weather was good there were no free loungers at the pools in the morning. Luckily there were still a few free places on the beach right next to the sea in the middle of the countryside.Cleanliness in the rooms was mixed. In the first room it smelled very musty, there was mold in the bathroom and on the shower head and we had two cockroaches in the room. Some of the rooms are very noisy, we had very loud neighbors and therefore changed rooms after two nights. Here we only had our personal gecko in the room but no other animal surprises.Communication at reception was a bit difficult in English, but you could use Google Translate to communicate if necessary.Due to its location on Khao Lak Beach, the hotel is somewhat remote from the "Khao Lak Center" and can only be reached by taxi (200 baht each way or 300 baht to Bang Niang market) or scooter in about 10-15 minutes.WiFi was of good strength and speed, only a little slower in the evenings.Unfortunately, a late check-out was not possible because the hotel was apparently fully booked and the room was needed again on the same day. Unfortunately, we were not offered any real option as to how and where we could spend the waiting time in a meaningful and pleasant way.
