I had booked in advance on Agoda but was refused check-in on the grounds that the price was too cheap and I had to cancel on Agoda myself. The receptionist was really indifferent and seemed to be used to refusing to let people check in. Look at other reviews, there are many with the same case. It's not very clear about this hotel.

The rooms are really basic, there's no soap in the bathroom/sink. The location is good, whether you want to eat or go to the mall, everything is close by

We 10 people (booking 5 rooms) had a very bad experience at this OYO hotel.We have booked 5 rooms from 11 June 2024 via Agoda to check in on 14 June 2024.When we arrived on June 14 2024, the hotel receptionist (who we later found out was Aldo) said we had to contact Agoda on the grounds that the payment from Agoda had not been received. Even though this should have been done by the hotel, they unprofessionally asked us to do it, for the reason that this was not the first time this case had happened with Agoda.After we called Agoda, it turned out that Agoda actually didn't have any problems, and Agoda (Mrs. Helga) asked to speak directly to the hotel receptionist. That's when the receptionist (Aldo) said the problem was that there was a price increase, so the price went up that day, different from when we booked. This is different from the previous reason which said that our payment had not been received (on hold).We had never received information about this price increase before, we only got this information after coming to check in at the hotel reception. We already suspected something was wrong.The hotel insisted it was Agoda's fault. On the other hand, Agoda said there was no problem on its part. Finally, Agoda asked for time to contact OYO central.After 30 minutes, we got a call from Agoda (Mrs. Helga) who said "Agoda has contacted OYO central and according to OYO central there is no problem, OYO central (Mrs. Luna) has even tried to contact Aldo (the OYO hotel) but he didn't pick up. (2 times). "Therefore asked us to speak directly to Aldo and call using our cellphone to the OYO center in front of the hotel reception (Aldo)."After we called OYO central in front of the hotel reception (on loudspeaker so Aldo and his friend could hear), it became clear that there was actually no problem with our booking and we could immediately check in and enter the room. When we heard this information, the hotel (Aldo) insisted on not allowing us to check in on the grounds that the price had gone up. There was an argument between OYO center and OYO hotel (Aldo receptionist), using our cellphone.Until in the midst of the debate there was a solution to provide complimentary prices to those of us who were hanging around unclearly on the hotel stairs (because this hotel does not have a lobby). Even then, we still had to pay the excess of 7,000 rupiah which we could afford at that time.However, again the hotel receptionist (Aldo) refused on the grounds that he could not accept cash or transfers because he had to use the system. The impression of complicating things is very clear.Again we waited for 30 minutes until the OYO center resolved its argument with the hotel receptionist.Finally we were allowed to enter the room after waiting 2 hours.What's wrong with this OYO center and OYO hotel?What's wrong with the Agoda and OYO hotel systems? Because this hotel blames Agoda as if Agoda gave the wrong price.In fact, we see that there is no fault on Agoda's part because the debate that occurred was only about OYO central and OYO this hotel. We see strong indications that this hotel is used to raising prices suddenly and unilaterally, even for consumers who have booked several days in advance. Because according to Aldo himself and his hotel receptionist friends, this often happens.If this happens so often, why is this allowed to continue? Why doesn't OYO leave Agoda for example? Why doesn't central OYO reprimand OYO hotels under its network for unilaterally raising prices like this?The standards of a 2 star hotel and the standards of a hotel receptionist are also not visible at this hotel. There is no lobby, although only chairs to sit, the receptionist is unfriendly and unprofessional, more like a thug. The check-in counter is small and narrow, like selling market snacks, and is located under the stairs. The receptionist seemed to enjoy the price increase and even blamed Ka several times

This place is disgusting, all the laundry is full of stains, of you don't want to know what. We spend a while looking only for clean pillow cases, and it was not easy to find two decent ones. I wouldn't put my feet again. Shivers.
