We stayed here 2 nights. Place was clean enough and the beds comfortabel. The towels couldve been cleaner. They did not smell fresh and after 1 day use they were stinky. Maybe they were not washed at all.They offer free thee and toast in the morning which I think is really nice. We really liked the area the hotel was in. It was quiet and had restaurants nearby. We went out walking in the evening and returned in one piece.We also arranged private guide with the hotel for the temples. We were happy we did as it made the day a lot easier for us after traveling from far. However if the guide asks if you want to eat you will be taken to a touristy/scammy restaurant. We thought we would maybe eat together until we saw what kind of restaurant it was. Don't waste your time there as there is plenty of good places in yogya!As for the hotel. I recommend!

Hotel very well located with services nearby.Free water, coffee and tea all day and free toast in the morning.We booked a superior room, they gave us room 8. The furniture was old but the bed and pillows were comfortable. There is no refrigerator. They have a hair dryer that you request at reception, although with very little power.The room smelled quite damp and the bathroom even more so. The cleanliness of the room left a lot to be desired, there were cobwebs on the walls and fungus on the bathroom ceiling. The humidity extractor was full of dust.I mentioned this to the hotel worker when leaving the hotel.Every morning from 3am to 4pm you can hear the call to prayer from the mosque next door.In general, for the price you can't ask for much but I would have liked a minimum of cleanliness to be maintained.

We had a great time! modest and clean rooms although something could be improved.Very nice breakfast area with internal garden and small fish pond. They don't serve a real breakfast but toast, jams, hot water and coffee and tea sachets at the buffet.Very kind and helpful staff. Their help was essential in contacting the airport when our flight was cancelled.Strategic area a stone's throw from the Kraton and the beginning of the main Maljoboro avenue.

Location close to the Royal Palace. The staff are kind and friendly. This is a reliable hotel. However, room 3 does not have a refrigerator. I just want it to improve.

Griya Wijilan is aesthetic, the rooms are spacious, nice, the AC is cold, there is WiFi, Netflix, water heater, although there is no breakfast but plain bread with jam is available. Coffee and tea available 24 hours, drinking water hot and cold. Friendly staff, city center location, near Kraton and Malioboro. Affordable prices. Recommended. Next time you go to Yogya, definitely stay here

We travel a lot in Asia.For 2 months on the island of Indonesia, this is one of the best budget hotels. Location in the heart of Yogyakarta.The room is small, but the bed is super comfortable, hot water, air conditioning.Special thanks to the staff, well done! They respond adequately, quickly, pleasant in communication.They organized a bike for us.A nice bonus is coffee with toast and jam.You have a very cozy breakfast.The only wish is to change the ant repellent, it has an unpleasant smell.Good luck in business!!! You are great!

The room is clean, just a bit damp (like damp because there is no air flow), the AC is not cold enough, the rest is quite good. The bathroom is clean only the toilet flush needs to be repaired

Hostel not recommended!! Tourists beware!!! Or rather...THE TOURISTS!This August three friends traveled to the worst places of the summer!We contracted the tour with them. One of their drivers, the largest and oldest, offered us pills during the Borobudur excursion. He was rude and inattentive to our requests.We arrived on the weekend and very late (the flight was delayed). The same rude driver picked us up at the airport, ignoring our requests to go somewhere the next day, both to buy a SIM card and to go change money. The answers we received were..."tomorrow", "then at the hotel". FAKE!!!!We were able to get money from the ATM but it bothered them a lot that the payment was with small bills. Gentlemen it was the only option!!! The moment of payment was very unpleasant, receiving responses with bad faces and ridicule.We only liked the treatment of the driver who took us to Prambanan. He was respectful, polite and very kind.
