Had another great meal. American style gourmet Cheese Burger. 100% pure Ground Beef. Chef Mike grinds his own beef. Chedder Cheese. Bakes his own Buns. Home made Fries. Never had a better Burger anywhere.

I booked three nights at the “Shibui Garden Bungalows and Restaurant” and chose the large wooden house. The massive, generously built wooden house in the garden next to the bamboo huts is atmospheric, the shower/toilet is attached and also large.The excellent breakfast was included, and I also ate dinner every day because the boss and owner is a particularly passionate and good cook.Although the overall decor is very simple, it was nice to chat to other guests while eating.However, the traffic next to the main road is loud.

Stayed here one night before catching boat from the port. Rooms a great value and super clean and OMG the burgers are just the best. I’d stay again just for the food alone.

Lovely stay. Beautifully built wooden traditional accomodation. Due to the nature of the building, air con isnt worth using - use a fan if something necessary. When we visited there was not high water pressure for shower. Comfortable mattress. Good breakfast. Dogs and cats on premises. Private balcony.The reason I booked here was that these guys are quietly doing sustainable tourism - building with more sustainable materials such as wood and bamboo, avoiding excess water consumption. As a result, expect fewer creature comforts such as sound insulation. But again, such comforts come at an environmental price. Hosts are relatively understated in 'eco credentials' which was well beyond those boasted by expensive eco resorts - eg. Coffee served at breakfast grown locally, furniture built from salvaged wood, locally owned business, and I'm sure plenty more I didn't know aboutA short scooter drive to Lombok wildlife park, taxi to port 35k.
