A+ for cleanliness, this is one of the only hostels in Sanur area. However, it lacks some basic hostel facilities:1. No water refill2. They charge you for storing luggage after checkout3. No kitchen access4. Only one washroom shared by all the dorm roomsAnd yes, as pointed by others reviewers, the male owner can be rude.

I have been travelling for 1 month around Indonesia. I haven't had any problem until now. My flight was scheduled at 10pm and i just asked if i could leave my luggage in the homestay. The man (owner), in a really rude way, didn’t allow us to leave our luggage there, either in a separate place without disturbing anyone. If i were you, i would hesitate staying in this hostel.

Rudely refused to let me leave my backpack here after checkout (unless if you purchase their expensive airport transfer).Not sure why, as every other hostel in SEA has no issue with this. The other parts of this hostel were fine — super clean, free breakfast, affordable. So, it hurts to leave a bad review, but I truly believe luggage storage is a basic necessity they are lacking.

We paid 6 nights for the room with private bath and BALCONY, but we left after 3 days and we preferred to lose the money. Balcony does not exist, is just a small patio out for everybody, the windows are blocked and I paid extra for balcony because I am smoking. Besides, from the first moment we arrived we been asked to pay cash, without even seeing the room. Room was clean, but the breakfast pathetic and I did not like the scam with the balcony at all.

This is by far the best homestay I have come across in Indonesia. It’s cozy, homey, close to the beach and everything else in sanur is in walkable distance. The biggest praise I have to give to the family. Always friendly, forthcoming and just generally wonderful. I was more than challenging as a guest. I was really sick for a while and they were always asking me if I needed anything and provided help. When I was somewhere completely different I was still able to book a transport with them, even though it was at their inconvenience. When we arrived at our destination, we got scammed for a large amount of money, but after calling Suwardika homestay they put in the work for us to get our money back. I‘ll be forever grateful for the treatment I got here. In addition to this, I was able to store one of my bags here for a month without any problems. I stayed here for almost 3 weeks in total. I was easily able to book additional beds for my friends and they were very accommodating with cancellation.
