Rustic as can be, shutters without windows (so no air conditioning) but an extraordinary atmosphere, a fantastic host and activities everywhere! And what about the view!

I stayed here for 3 days and enjoyed it as a great place to chill. The rooms are big and there is a rear deck/balcony that overlooks the sea. The owner is very helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable, and he seems to know all of the best deals. I recommend Mango House to everyone.

An absolutely extraordinary experience! It was just great. I still miss the slight sound of waves when I sleep and the host was super friendly and helpful. He was also able to organize a cheap taxi for us to the pier. Great recommendation, gladly again!

Samsun, the owner is very nice and helpful, thanks to him we got a great trip, tickets and reccomendations. The Old Town is calm at night and there's a lot of shops and restaurants.Agata and Dominik

Mango House is located in Koh Lanta's old town. We stayed there for 4 nights and were a bit worried that it might get a bit noisy at night. However, exactly the opposite was the case. Koh Lantas old town is an incredibly quiet and familiar little place where we felt very comfortable at all times. The view from the terrace was fantastic. The Mango House is rustically furnished, which we really liked. We would especially like to say “thank you” to Samsun, who always looked after us lovingly and gave us good tips. Communication went great and we would go to the Mango House again at any time :) Adrian and Pia

The Mango House is a beautiful and silent location in the middle of Koh Lanta Oldtown. You can feel straight away the charm of this are For us it was beautiful time during our stay for 3 days. We spend every morning on the balcony to watch the sunrise. Equipment is perfect with, shower gel, kitchen stuff, clean rooms and so on. Very good local restaurants are close by (50m). In addition the Service of Mango House is extraordinary good. If you need any support like recommendations or the organization of a boat trip - Mr. Samsung will search for the best and cheapest one. My girlfriend was for the time of our stay on crunches, due to a motorcycle accident. Therefore we were very happy about the strong support and happy welcome. We will come back for sure!

Fantastic wooden place on stilts over the ocean for a very reasonable price! Roman is a great host organising long tail trips into the mangroves and awnsering all questions. Love this place and can highly recommend it!!

My girlfriend and me were staying in Mango House for 4 nights. We really didn't want to leave this place as we felt in love with Koh Lanta and the Mango House.With the small kitchen we could make our breakfast for ourselfes and enjoy it at the beautiful balcony, having the ocean under us. We already miss to relax at the hammock over the ocean.Also the owner and the Thai contact Person Samsung are really nice people. Samsung gave us so many information what to do on the island and how to save money.We definitely will come back there!Thank you for everything :)

We had the most fabulous stay at Mango house, you really feel like you are are taken away to this old Thai wooden pilar house from the old Siam but with a new modern touch, you also have the comfort of own fully equipped kitchen! The whole area is very charming but the highlight for me was the morning coffee on the back deck with the most beautiful view of the many limestone Islands on the east coast of Lanta. I can strongly recommend this place and the very friendly staff will help you with everything from motorbike to snorkel / diving trips as well. The highlight of our stay for sure! Xx

Such an awesome place! Beautifully located on stilts over the water, nice and quiet and a spectacular sunrise to start your day. Very nice, clean rooms and comfortable beds. Owner, Roman, is super helpful with everything from arranging tailor made snorkelling and diving trips, motorbike rentals, where to go to get proper, local food etc. Can only recommend!

We stayed at Mango House for two and half spectacular days in February. It’s unlike anyplace I’ve stayed in, the entire place stilted up over the Adaman Sea, which you can hear constantly rushing under the floorboards... like being on a boat in the best way. The deck is loaded with comfy deck chairs and swaying hammocks. With the stellar views and the welcome breeze we spent most of our time there. This might not be for fussy high end travelers..it’s more authentic and rustic. The floorboards creak, but are sturdy... instead of artificial air conditioning you get an amazing flow of sea air flowing from the windows and doors and the spaces between floorboards, keeping you cool. New owner Roman was very helpful with showing us the place, and can suggest all kinds of boating, snorkeling and diving excursions for the traveler. He also helped booking a scooter which is the best to kick around Koh Lanta. Old Town itself is very chill, and we had great meals and cocktails in the restaurants within crawling distance from Mango House.

Mango house is the kind of hidden gem that independent travelers dream about finding. It’s an amazing traditional house built on pilings- literally, over the sea. You can hear the waves under you while you lay in bed. The house is an authentic, traditional home with gorgeous wood and a generous deck over the sea. Very kind people in town, and the owner, Roman, is incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. Yes - this place is off the beaten track. Yes - it’s a little funky and high/end, fussy travelers might not have all of their needs met. But, for adventurous people... this is exactly the place (and authentic experience) you’ve been looking for...

It looks even better than in pictures! Terrace and the view from it was stunning. The best part for me was the sound of a water under the floor (you can even see it through spaces between floorboards). Hope to come back there soon!

This place was awesome. You get a great view and amazing service. Samsun offered us a great deal on the boat ride back to Phuket. Only flaw is that it is a ways away from the nice beaches/bars but the taxi ride there is only 500 thb.
