Borneo Cottage Maratua

We had a wonderful week of diving. It is not easy to fly to Marathu, Indonesia, from Europe. The boss, dive guide Iyan, and all the staff in the resort restaurant were very warm and welcoming. The service was great, cost-effective, and the food in the restaurant was great. It is more suitable for Asian tastes. If you want to eat extra seafood, you can ask the staff to help buy and process it. The boss said that the new water house resort is currently under construction and is expected to be put into use next year. We will come back next year.

The dive master Onwa is a very good diving guide. He always had a good plan and avoided underwater congestion with other diving groups so that we could see the best view on each diving. The location is excellent because it is just beside the port with a beautiful beach. The customer service Alice Yap is professional, providing every detail we need to know with prompt response to every question.Our initially arranged room was lack of hot water and they upgraded us to another spacious room free of charge. Thanks you guys!

This dive shop is not big, with only 8 clean and tidy rooms. Compared with other resort dive shops on the island, this place is more cost-effective.The staff at the dive shop are very enthusiastic. If you need them, you can ask them to help purchase supplies such as drinks, beer, fruits, etc.The dive guide Amir was even more dedicated and dedicated, arranging 15 excellent customized diving itineraries for us. In addition to Channel, we also saw waves and storms at other dive sites. It is worth mentioning that the night dive at the pier was an absolute surprise.Three meals a day are provided here in the form of a buffet, usually 1 vegetable, 1 fried food, 2 seafood, and fruit.The transportation is convenient, and there is a pier next to it. It is very convenient for diving, arrival and departure. There is a seafood shop next to the dive shop. You can buy it and let the dive shop help process it.The dive shop is in Maratu Town. You can walk around the whole town and feel the simple local folk customs. You can also go to the only large restaurant on the seaside for a drink and snacks. However, in this restaurant you can only order fried noodles. fried chicken.

With 500K IDR per night, it's very good for backpacker. This is my fav cottage. It's walkaway from maratua main port, easy to get lunch or dinner, safe, white sand beach in the front. The Aircon, bed and hot water are good. The free breakfast is average but 24 hr free coffee of tea. No TV in the room, but you dont need it too. Absolutely my fav cottage in the island. The people are so nice n helpful.
