The employees working there were wonderful, but the hotel, itself, left such a bad taste in my mouth. I, originally, meant to stay 14 nights, but after the 1st night, I couldn't wait to change hotels. When I checked in, the dog that lives on the property tried to bite me; if the dog isn't friendly, then the dog should not be on the premises. The facilities are in need of some serious improvement: the room was dirty, there were critters everywhere, the A/C was not functioning, and the restroom was downstairs and basically in the outdoors. The photos make the property look so much better than it actually is. I have been trying to get a refund for my terrible experience, but the property has been silent (of course). DO NOT stay at this hotel.

Terrible, I don't recommend it, Booking photos don't match reality at all! Rooms and facilities were generally old and precarious, the room had a musty smell, as did the pillows, sheets and curtains, it was unclear whether they had really been washed to wait for guests. The bathroom has no shower or hot water, and the bathtub and sink are completely dirty, quite disgusting. Luckily we only rented for one night. The insulation is not good and we could hear the upstairs neighbor's TV, we had rented a room overlooking the rice fields and when we arrived the guy said that the upstairs rooms were all occupied. Our mattress was soft and there were two single mattresses in a double bed, so my husband and I slept separately through the opening between the mattresses. The only thing that was more acceptable was the breakfast, which was delicious but it was à la carte and there wasn't much of it. The location is also bad because it is on a corner that is difficult to stop a taxi, it is not completely isolated and not close to shops. I don't think it's even worth it for the price, because in Brazil for that price you can find simple rooms but in good condition and very hygienic.

This review is not about the staff in the hotel, which are nice and helpful. I also befriended their dog, she is protective but friendly.The hotel rooms however have a bad, stinky smell in the bathrooms (can't be hidden by air freshener). The surrounding of the rooms is noisy, isolation doesn't exist at all. The AC in two rooms (deluxe ) isn't functional; in the first room it was making so much noise and didn't cool down, after requesting to change the room, it still didn't work but at least didn't make noise.Whatever is on their menu is up to 20% taxes and service fees.

Ananda is fairly pricey by Balinese standards. The resort has many facilities such as swimming pool, restaurant. Services such as wifi (very patchy and unreliable) and room service are available. Breakfast was included in our room price. …
