A slightly dated establishment but clean, the setting is very nice, the beach 200 meters away is not really suitable for swimming, lots of waves, hence many surfers, the breakfast is plentiful and excellent, the manager is very kind and likes to chat with her hosts, good stopover, not really for a stay except for surfers.Be careful though, we arrived at the end of the day, 4 restaurants nearby, but they were no longer serving by 8:00 p.m., we had ridden quite a bit that day, we were too lazy to get back on the scooters, we ate beers 😉Otherwise nice experience 👍

I came to Balian to surf for the first time in a while.I was planning to stay for 7 days, so I stayed at this Surya homestay.The Wayan family welcomed us warmly and made us feel comfortable.This is a family-run inn with 8 rooms in total.The Wayan family lives next to the inn, and there is also a small store, so it is convenient and has a variety of products such as water and Bintang.I booked a room with air conditioning and it was comfortableSome rooms do not have air conditioning, so please contact the owner to find out.Wi-Fi can be used without any problemsDelicious breakfast included every dayChoose from banana pancakes or bread and omelet or mi gorengAssorted fruitBali coffeeLocated about 5 minutes walk from Balian Main PointI hope to take care of you again next time I come to Varian.Thank you Wayan family

Amazing family run stay with lovely green surrounds with 8 rooms,aircon is an option as is hot water but I'm not one who needs hot water personally. Breakfast can be included from Banana pancakes to Omelette. Mayan has a shop at the front that has everything from,beer,crisps to bug spray &sunscreen.Located between restaurants and beach so 5 minutes walk to most.Atm/Large Supermarkets on the main road 15min slow walk up.Ask and you shall receive Mayan can organise- bike hire to massage. If you're looking for adequate & awesome value this is your place.Rooms serviced &cleaned daily.

Wayan and her husband along with their 2 sons work overtime making you feel like you`re a visiting family member. The homestay is located 300 meters from the surf break and 600 meters from the night market. No real need for most people to rent a scooter.The rooms are cleaned daily and includes one of the best breakfasts in Bali served in your room.The only noise I can hear in my room are the sounds of the surf.I can not say enough good things about this family business and Balian.

Stayed at Surya Homestay a number of times. It is outstanding value for money. Great location and nice setting with the rooms accessed down a little path through a lovely jungle-like garden area. The complimentary breakfast, omelet, fruit and coffee is terrific. The manager and staff couldn't be more friendly and helpful. Rooms basic but functional and cleaned every day.

Excellent place to stay, one of my favourites. A 30 second walk to the lookout of the wave, and a short walk into the centre. Great hosts. They even have a little shop out the front where you can get refillable 20 litre water, beers, snacks etc. Great breakfast. - Will, New Zealand
