I am unsure how the hotel has received five stars based on my experience. I arrived at 16:00 and the room was not yet ready. The room and bathroom did not meet the standards I would expect for a five-star hotel. However, the location is convenient for shopping and the staff are friendly.

This hotel is only worth 3 stars, not 5 stars. I donât know where they actually get the other 2 stars from. This hotel is win because of the location. Other than that, there are lots of better hotels with cheaper prices. I stayed in 5 stars hotels at least twice a month so I know very well which hotel is the real 5 stars hotel.- only basic amenities provided in the room. They didnât even provide conditioner and the quality of shampoo/body wash are bad.- breakfast at the restaurant was terrible. Not a lot of Western options like in the other 5 stars hotel. Egg Benedict looks like boiled egg.- called housekeeping to refill shampoo/body wash and it took very long time to deliver (I need to call them twice).- staff grooming need to be improved. Especially the ones in the Bellagio restaurant.Total zonk. Not worth your money.

The hotel is located in the Balik Papan city shopping center. Very strategic and efficient. The room is very spacious. Neat and clean. The restaurant for breakfast is also large and the food is varied. âĶ

It's really strange with the reservation system here, it's better not to have marketing if the work isn't professional, you're contacted very slow to respond to chats day and night, the phone rings but you don't pick up and you just read, it's better to change the marketing, it's not really professional

Please create another SOP that is correct for receiving guests when checking in, waiting list waiting for rooms until 1.5 hours after registration, names are not registered. Smoking rooms were offered, initially the order was applied to use non-smoking rooms. Very chaotic management at peak point hours of the long weekend

The best hotel in Balikpapan. Really amazed with the room size. With competitive rates, the rooms are very comfortable and the size can be twice that of other hotel rooms. Having access to the mall also makes it easier to shop or look for food.

5 star hotels do not provide baby bathtubs. The towels didn't come on the second day, they were promised to be delivered separately but they didn't come. After being contacted once, waited and not delivered. The staff didn't seem friendly, many people passed us instead we were the ones to reprimand them first (just to say Hi). On Saturday nights the nearest parking lot is full, so you have to park in another location some distance away because the hotel doesn't have reserved parking for hotel guests (not Velvet). The elevator capacity also doesn't seem to be directly proportional to the occupants, so the wait for the elevator is very long and often full. Wifi access both in the meeting room and in the room is very, very poor, to the point where you have to tether to work on the laptop, even though this is a 5 star business hotel. Opening the room with an access card is also difficult, requiring multiple efforts. Asked for free parking, apparently it was only valid for 1 day, while the receptionist did not inform us that it had to be extended for a second day. The rest is okay: facilities, room condition, food.With the same facilities as most hotels in its class, there are even facilities that are not provided, so the prices listed are quite overpriced.

To be honest, I stayed in room 556 of this hotel from 31 July to 2 Aug 2024 and overall there were many basic shortcomings, namely:1. There is no view outside at all, instead it is towards the wall of another building.2. The bathroom floor is always flooded because the floor is curved so the water cannot flow into the drain hole.3. The roof of the room is dirty and there is black in the corners4. Bed is too low like a mattress5. The food doesn't taste right, like fried rice but it's hard, the juice is too sweet.This is a genuine review, not a hoax.

They gave me a room with its window facing to a dark aisle that is for a storage purpose I guess. So I didnât get any sunshine AT ALL. That aisle is so dark and creepy as if itâs a place of supernatural beings. I couldnât differ whether it is night or day by the window. When I asked for a room change, they told me it was fully occupied. I, then mentioned that I would check out if they couldnât give me a room change. Instantly they gave me another room :/ thankfully I got sunshine in that substitute room. I appreciated the assistance from Pak Nico and Pak Arya anyway to set up and to combine the twin beds at that room yesterday.
