First of all: I'm normally not one for writing bad reviews. Understand that it can have an impact, but despite the high ratings, I read more cases like this in the reviews, so I think it is important to share this.We found a rat in the bathroom at night and were scammed by the driver that the owner had arranged for us, with his help.The pre-agreed price of 200K (even checked when boarding) for a ride to the port of Padangbai suddenly became 300K upon arrival. The driver suddenly no longer spoke English and immediately called the owner of the hostel, who confirmed the price increase. We were tricked into it very smoothly.To illustrate: the ride on Grab would have cost 182K so it ended up being almost twice as expensive.Then there was the rat that my girlfriend found in the bathroom at night. This is not something I can normally write a negative review about because despite the fact that it is really very dirty, I can imagine that you could have to deal with this in the countryside of Bali. Nevertheless, not a very pleasant nighttime visit and because there are no staff at night, nothing could be done about it.The owner seemed very nice and helpful and the location was very nice, but the way we were put on the spot by the owner and the driver felt very unpleasant. Unfortunately, I was left with a bad feeling about this stay and that really shouldn't have been the case.

Little nugget in Sidemen close to warungs and shops. We discovered a haven of peace with only one room and a villa. The swimming pool is great, the staff adorable!

We had an iced matcha latte, iced coffee, banana bread and carrot cake. All were delicious and we sat outside with a lovely view of the garden. Was nice and peaceful whilst there. The carrot cake was very similar in texture to the banana bread, unlike a typical carrot cake but was still yummy. The building is absolutely beautiful too. Definitely recommend.

I don't understand the positive reviews from travelers. I chose this hotel after reading the reviews but was very disappointed in the very noisy location. In fact, the room is on the street and the incessant noise of the scooters passing non-stop from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. is unbearable. Certainly the staff is very friendly as is often the case in Bali and there is a nice view from the bedroom window but this in no way compensates for the inconvenience caused by the noise of the vehicles. What a shame to suffer this in such a pleasant environment as Sidemen offers. In addition, the room, although spacious, lacks comfort. The bed is sprung and there is nothing to put your things in the bathroom. Luckily I only booked 2 nights. I couldn't have stayed longer because the noise affected me so much. Moreover, the owners must be well aware of this since they leave earplugs available for vacationers.

I came to Sidmen for vacation.I decided to stay at this inn because I wanted to see the sacred mountain, Mt. Agung, visible in the bedroom window frame based on the reviews.It was difficult to see them because of the seasonal cloudiness, but I was thrilled to be able to see them on the last evening.Also, you will be healed by the mountains, countryside, and flowers as far as the eye can see.I really liked the small inn, which had a small cafe on the first floor, the room I stayed in on the second floor, and a villa in the back across the pool.During normal business hours, the cafe on the first floor only serves drinks and breakfast only for hotel guests.Other meals can be eaten at the restaurant attached to Los Men, which is a 1-minute walk away.

This place is amazing! I spend 4 nights there and I was very sad that I had to leave. The people who work here, the location, the rooms, the garden, everything is so so nice! And I can highly recommend to do one or more tours with Nyoman! It was incredible. Will definitely come back here!
