My boyfriend and I stayed one night at Villa Suari.I can only confirm previously read reviews. Our room had a mothball smell so perhaps that sleeping was impossible. Not to mention the bathroom, dirty, full of limescale and lack of water. The bed was really uncomfortable, it didn't have sheets but only a duvet cover. The villa is located in a very steep and dark street..the staff is friendly but this is not enough to guarantee a good service.I don't recommend it even for one night!

My partner and I spent one night to catch the boat the next day, since the port is located near the hotel, but it is on a path that was a hill, which is not recommended to access on foot, because when it gets dark you can't He sees nothing and is far from the town. The hotel staff is very very friendly, but I have to say that the night was horrible, since you couldn't breathe from the smell of humidity that was so great, which prevented me from sleeping. The walls are full of damp stains and the floor is dripping with water. The faucets are terribly limescale and old and they have an air freshener that mixed with the very strong smell of humidity makes it difficult to breathe. I don't know if it is in all the rooms, but the one we had needs urgent repair.

Big disappointment! We booked two nights at Villa Suari before going to the Gili Islands, based on the photos and many comments we did not hesitate for a moment and booked a room hoping to find an idyllic place. As soon as we arrived we realized that it is difficult to get there on foot from the city, it is a little far away, which is not so bad to be calmer, but to go on foot you have to climb a fairly steep hill. The Villa was infested with millipedes outside and inside the rooms, I couldn't sleep all night because millipedes came out of the wooden ceiling and moved all over the walls and some fell into the bed! The pillows were dirty with mold marks, the walls also had mold, the shower was broken and full of lime as well as the sink faucet, the water comes out salty! Inside the bed I also saw two bugs jumping! I don't think they were fleas but hey, you don't feel very calm after seeing all that! Anyway, the next morning we told the manager that we were leaving and that we were not going to stay the night we had left (and that we had already paid). The truth is that the manager was very sorry about the bugs and to compensate us she gave us a free driver to go to our new hotel in the city. We made a claim for a refund for the second night and they did not accept it. I attach photos, it's a shame, maybe 4 or 5 years ago the villa was worth it, now it needs a lot of repairs and to buy new bedding and get rid of the millipedes!
