Perfect location for any activity you are doing as all of Amed is walkable. The rooms are basic and can get quite hot but clean. The toilets and showers are clean. Free breakfast and a great view of the volcano.

It is nice and very clean. They don't give you water. Being that in all the hostels I was in they provide you with filtered water. It seems absurd to me that they encourage buying bottles taking into account the problem they have with garbage.

NEVER ride with the hostel's driver!!!We know very well that there are a lot of street dogs on these islands and that many ACCIDENTS cannot be avoided. However, what we experienced was NOT AN ACCIDENT!!!At 2:30 a.m. we were picked up by the said driver and driven to a new town. We immediately noticed that the driver was driving far too fast and unreasonably on the unlit and uneven streets.Suddenly there was a dog in the middle of the road, no car in front of or behind us, enough time and space. The cab driver didn't honk, flash his lights, slow down, touch the steering wheel or anything similar. He didn't even blink his eye.He just drove over the dog.We can't get the image of the scene out of our heads, the sounds of the breaking bones and the screaming dog.We are deeply traumatized and don't understand why this man is such a MONSTER.That was the worst thing that has ever happened to us.That wasn't an accident, it was INTENT!!!

Good location near the beach, perfect for snorkeling and diving. The rooms are okay but the upper bunks are very wobbly. Definitely not for someone who moves a lot while sleeping. I would not recommend to book tours or scooters with them as they tend to overcharge you (we had fixed a price for transport and when we arrived, the price was suddenly higher...).

Totally ok hostel and fair for what you pay. Free breakfast included is nice. Staff is helpful with laundry and renting scooters which was great. It is however no social hostel and no joint activities are arranged. Rooms are decent, a bit hot in the night, but otherwise all ok. It is a basic hostel but decently comfortable and clean.

Avoid this place! Rude, unfriendly and unreliable staff. We lost our key ring, reported this to the staff and also asked if there was any chance we could take a look through the rubbish. At that moment we noticed our key ring, which went on the key of the scooter of one of the employees (?!). She had “found” him, so to speak. We asked him back but suddenly no one spoke English anymore and no one could understand us. Only the next day and after much insistence did they find it necessary to return our own material. This was clearly against their will because for the rest of our stay the so-called friendliness disappeared.Just think for a moment what they do if they “find” your really valuable items. In addition, the entire hostel is dilapidated, they find it necessary to “make your bed” every day (read: rummage through your things) and they only change the bottom sheet of your bed. When you check out, they fold your blanket nicely and it is for the next guest, without washing.Checking out also went without too much friendliness. At 9am we were asked when we would finally check out.Furthermore, the showers and air conditioning work.
