The house is a wooden house mixed with cement. You may hear the sound of people walking on the 2nd floor. If you're a lady staying, you might have to be a little careful because there are small holes in the doors and windows that you can see through.But overall it's ok. There's Wifi, refrigerator (included), drinking water available, clean bathroom, and the grandmother who takes care of it is very hospitable.

Grandma's owner is very kind...speaks because she is friendly. Good service, clean rooms, inexpensive room prices. If you go to Chiang Khan, you must stay here. Also near the walking market.

Used to stay in room 2, price 600 baht, window can be seen from outside. The room across from you can hear everything you say. It's not sound proof. The room door can't be closed tightly. Outside the room door can be opened. In summary, I'm not satisfied. The bathroom is ok, the water is strong enough, but the water tank is slightly closed and the water still flows. Reset the TV's batteries. Re-mode the air conditioner and the battery ran out.

Extremely disappointed to the point of feeling sorry for the money. 1,000 paid for both the noise from the next room and the attention of the operator. The bathroom is not clean. In summary, there is a lack of good service. In fact, I had stayed here four or five years ago and was impressed by the clean, spacious house. It's a great place to stay. Now it's so crowded that there's almost no walkway into the accommodation. Crowded, disorganized, not clean. Very disappointed.

Booked a stay at Huen Khum Hug at Chiang Khan, but stayed at "Amnuay Suk @ Chiang Khan"The fact is Huean Khum Hak is not stuck in the water. (on the temple side)But tell the customer that there is a see view room ..they will accept the booking.and send it to the customer. "Amnuaysuk Homestay) which is opposite...and charges at the head of the customer queue.The truth came out when the customer asked the grandmother of Amnuay Suk how much per night the water was added. Sigh..the price wouldn't be that much different. But I don't feel good....From my heart I want to say If you want it next to the water, overlooking the Mekong/clean room/cool air conditioning/ensuite bathroom/sleep comfortably.Call to reserve directly with Grandma "Amnuay Suk @ Chiang Khan"Or you can reserve anywhere for 1) night, the rest you can walk in.

Location is awesome but the pillows are hard and unusable. Tv signal doesn't work. Room is spacious but the extra bed we ordered via agoda is a blanket on the floor with a pillow. It's a historical building like many others here with wooden walls. If you don't want to wake up 3.45am (garbage collection) and 5.30am (temple drum) you should seek out a modern building. Talking, walking, motorbikes, birds...You will hear everything in this kind of building and it is no fault of the place itself.

finally, found a busy locals eatery. great food. extremely reasonable. loved self serve coffee and toast bar. next to temple, enjoyed morning chanting while having breakfast. just past roi 19. accrossfrom royal hotel by name of chiang khan hotel. reminds me of old lahaina, maui.
