I had booked a room 2 days before checking in, when I checked in the room was sold to someone else on the grounds that the hotel crew were busy training and we didn't pay the down payment (even though when we booked we weren't asked to pay the down payment, if we asked we would definitely pay). The hotel owner didn't apologize, instead he seemed to challenge us if we told the Google review what it was. The hotel crew was very friendly in helping us find other hotels.

The best hotel in Kutacane, so don't expect the hotel to be as it should be.What needs to be improved is the room TV service, even though Android TV is provided, there is no broadcast.

Don't look at the photos because the reality is much different.Superior type room, TV not on, no windows. In the bathroom there are no tissues and trash cans.There are no additional keys for those staying in 1 room with 2 people. The breakfast menu is very standard, at the breakfast place no coffee is served, only sweet tea.

.Maroon Hotel Kutacane Southeast AcehWhen I hear the word Aceh, the first thing I imagine is the westernmost region of Indonesia, the very tip.In fact, it turns out that the Aceh region is adjacent to North Sumatra, where access can be reached closer from Medan than landing in Aceh City.Southeast Aceh as one of the regions which several months ago was one of the areas affected by flash floods led me to go on a trip to distribute aid.As a strategic transit point, the Kutacane area was chosen to stay and coordinate with local parties.This area is quite busy and busy, as can be seen from the many business places along the main road. But the average accommodation is rarely located on the side of the main road, perhaps considering the limited parking area.Not all of you can stay here by booking via a travel application. And after looking at the available places, the Maroon Hotel was chosen.The location is not far from the main road, two floors (stairs, no lift), quite clean, and the surrounding buildings resemble the atmosphere of an old town. I thought initially the breakfast would be a buffet or at least the choice would be rice or fried/boiled noodles, but it turned out to be Acehnese vegetable lontong.Because the atmosphere was a political party campaign, it turned out that across from the dining room on the side of the public road there was also a banner of one of the parties displayed near the hotel. If you look at the location which is a bit inside and there are rarely any other party banners, this installation is also creative to show hotel visitors 😁.Please pay attention to/repair the TV so that it can be used by staying guests.Kutacane, 13-14 December 2023.
