Simple, clean and comfortable accommodation. Only private rooms offered but they are so affordable and great value for money. Well placed for getting to the airport. Mawan (the host) helps to get you a bus there.Mawan is one of the best hosts I have ever stayed with. So kind and keen to spend time with you without being intrusive. We went out for food and drink during my evening there!Note...Would recommend booking one of the rooms with AC rather than fan as it would probably be a bit too hot otherwise. Also the road is a little noisy, but could still sleep.

This place has become my hub in Sumatra. I would stay nowhere else in Medan. It is located strategically inbetween the airport and the centre and next to the bus station. Mawan will take care of everything for you; from getting a bus somewhere, getting food together, doing laundry, recommending places to see, ... He enjoys talking to his guest for the whole night and is one of the kindest guys I have met in Sumatra so far. Thank you so much 🙏🏼

Clean and well located hotel, opposite the Amplas bus station which allows you to get anywhere in the city easily as well as to the airport. Mawan, the hotel manager, is very kind and always ready to help his guests. At the top!

Simple affordable accommodation. Mawan is the kindest host. We were staying at his brother's place in Berastagi and he got the bus with us to Medan and took us to his guesthouse; we would have been so lost without him! He showed us the local places to get cheap food and helped us get a bus to the airport in the morning. Thanks so much Mawan!

The father and mother are very kind and friendly. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Really recommended for friends who are looking for accommodation in the amplas area. There are 2 types of rooms, AC / Fan. Prices depend on the type, which is definitely affordable. Always success Gintsuka Hostel❤

I only stayed at Gintsuka Guest House for one night but I really enjoyed it. The host was very friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend a stop there.

Strategically located nearby the main city minibus station. Going out of town or to the airport is also very convineient from this hostel for all of the buses are passing in front of it.
