My partner and I were looking for a local, comfortable place, with opportunities to go on a trek, and above all, kind managers in Bukit Lawang! After 6 months of traveling in Asia, we came across the nicest and greatest people on our trip! We were welcomed by Putra the manager, his wife and Fitrya their great employee!We discovered the place, a house by the river, in the charming center of Bukit Lawang with exceptional character, rooms in their own style, very comfortable, spacious, for an unbeatable price! We had a small terrace overlooking the river, direct access for swimming, a restaurant where Fitrya prepared some of the best meals we had in Asia! We were also able to talk a lot with her, because she speaks English very well, and we got along wonderfully with her, which made our stay even better! We decided to do a trek again with Putra because we had already done it with another much more touristy company, so we left much earlier with him into the jungle, far from the beaten track, and we had a magical experience thanks to to him. We were able to observe the Alpha male of the Sumatran orangutans, we learned a lot about the jungle, and had a timeless moment! At the end of the stay, we had problems with our French bank cards. Seeing that we were worried about the situation, he offered to give him a Wise call so that he could withdraw cash for us! We had confidence and we did well, he did this the same evening after his long day, without asking us anything in return, just to help us, he took us to collect the money at a place he knows , where locals go because bank charges are very low. Thanks to him we got out of this complicated situation.Lots to say about this place, but only positive ones, the best place we stayed during our 10 month trip. Adorable owners, equally lovely employees, local activities, delicious food, with nice portions and some of the cheapest prices in Bukit Lawang!I strongly advise you to choose this place if you are passing through Bukit Lawang, and allow time, because you will surely book more nights than planned like us 😉

Economical place, where Putra and her family welcome you and offer you an experience in the jungle, a highly recommended trekking. They are very professional and attentive, we spent 3 days in the jungle watching orangutans and it was spectacular 👌. And everything was easy with them, every day the food is incredible and very abundant and also for a small price they can pick you up and take you to the airport since it is almost 5 hours away by car.
