The establishment run by Acep and his wife is ideal for visiting the region. Above all, in this less touristy but very underrated region, you will find in Acep a perfect guide, local and guide in all of Java for decades, he is a very endearing character, attentive to your requests and above all very curious about other cultures , attached to his region and eager to discuss all subjects (tradition, religion, economy, place of women, rapid evolution and SVT of his country...etc). Always smiling, enthusiastic, extremely kind and funny, full of anecdotes, speaking English well, he knows all the local guides, allowed us "exclusive" visits (like the sunrise on the Papandayan volcano before the opening official park, grandiose, or the visit to the rice fields, vegetable plantations of the surrounding villages without any tourist organization or tourist shop), in short, very happy to have spent these few days in this area of Indonesia little popular with Westerners (guaranteed success as soon as you walk the streets, or in restaurants and shops!) and to have met this beautiful person that is Acep. To be recommended without reservation for visiting the Sundanese country.

We had a wonderful stay and can recommend coming here wholeheartedly. Asep and his family offered us great hospitality, we really felt at home. Aseps knowledge of the region as a professional guide proved to be of great worth, he drove us to spectacular places - we especially enjoyed the Papandayan hike at sunrise, visiting an authentic sundanese village and swimming through a waterfall hidden deep in the mountains. The accomodation was much to our liking, we spend hours in the beautiful nestled garden.Great place to experience Java and its people away from more touristic destinations!

Very happy to have experience here. The access is strategic on the main road of Cikajang, the accommodation is also unique. It's a bit surprising to get in, but being inside is refreshing. Hot water is available too, and the facilities are clean, including the bathrooms. There was a problem with the hot water, but the father quickly fixed it. Only one message, the bathroom door at the back end of the cottage, hopefully it can be fixed because it can't be closed tightly. The rest is ok bro.

This place is way too pricey. Booking for 4 nights with my children for Eid and we regret it since 1st day. The entrance is a small garage where we have to walk like a crab to get in. At 1st the room is ok, but then the water heater hate us; my kids chose not having a bath then let icy water touch their body in cold Cisurupan weather (you can google this area temperature). Then we smell cat's pee right before we sleep in one of the bed. And it's not the worst, because we then found out that there's no room service for our 4 days staying. Our trash bin had never been emptied till day 4. We do not really mind using the same sheets and towels for 4 days, but if we also have to clean the toilets every single day too, then there is why we feel the room is too pricey.We highly recommend to visit this lovely Cisurupan Village, Beautiful Papandayan Mountain, and Garut; but this particular homestay, we definitely will not coming back here.

Book online and get a promotional price, cheaper than offline prices. When you arrive at the location you are given a room in what is said to be a new location in the Kampung Bareto complex (parking in the coffee garden)(they say there is still one owner), the place is clean, cool, just minimal facilities. There are none. There's not a single table, let alone a cupboard, there's not even a toilet mirror. The cottage we rented was 2 bedrooms, got an extra 1 bedroom. The staff were very friendly. The view was cool. minimal facilities, just enjoy it.

For those who want to stay overnight, my advice is DON'T BOOK ONLINE, it's better to check the location directly.The location is difficult to find because there is no sign.The location is still under construction, hopefully in the future it will really live up to expectations.The staff is friendly and welcoming.Recommend for those who like to be close to nature, but unfortunately the accommodation facilities are still minimal🙏
