My fiance and I had a wonderful stay in Mamaling! The owner and dive teacher Tom was super friendly and we could see nice fishes and corals already on the first day of our PADI dive course. We enjoyed the quiet and natural place very much. Also the various fresh cooked meals were delicious!

We stayed 6 nights and enjoyed 10 spectacular dives. Mamaling is a small (4 bungalows), secluded paradise on Bunaken Island. Friendly and helpful staff and relaxed atmosphere. Wrong place if you look for party, action and Gin. Absolutely right place for enjoying nature, snorkeling, diving, good food, and relaxation.

Mamaling is a perfect place to spend a couple days in Bunaken. Tom pays great attention to his guests , food is great, diving is amazing. |Just be aware that you are in a mangrove without direct view on the sea or lots of sun during the day

I went there on New Year's Day a year and a half ago. A hidden bungalow in the mangrove forest. It is not a so-called resort hotel. There was no hot water in the shower, no wai-hai, and no air conditioning, but it was much more impressive than the luxury resort hotel in Manado where I stayed later, and I would like to go again. The staff are friendly and the atmosphere is homely. All guests eat together at a small table, so you can quickly get to know each other. I was joined by an American uncle, a French couple, and a German couple. Mostly diving, but we snorkeling. We saw many turtles while snorkeling.We stayed at the hotel one and a half years ago. We enjoyed a super peaceful vacation because of Tom and Rose. The hotel we stayed at is situated in the very secluded area, middle of mangrove forest. We needed to get off a boat and walk the sea in order to check in the hotel. Good experience! There are only four simple bungalows w/o air conditioner, tv, wifi and hot shower. Every guest dined together at a small table so we could make friends very easily!! Food was delicious!! The sea was super clear. I could bump into so many turtles and huge school of fish when I snorkeled.
