Bunaken 1° Nature Resort

We are staying in this hotel now (1 week stay).Cottage. We live in a 1 floor cottage with a sea view. Cottage is fine. AC is working from 6 a.m. till 12 a.m. Thus, it is quite hot inside during the night. However, we were provided with a fan, which helps a bit. Water in the shower is salty. Bed is comfortable.Cleaning. When we checked in, I had to clean shower room by myself, because it was durty :( Our room was cleaned in couple of days upon request. Young boys were performing cleaning and it was far from professional cleaning.Territory of the resort. It is quite small. There is no garden, neither beach. There is access to a water, so it is possible to go snorkel if you have your own mask and fins. There is a swimming pool, which was empty and durty during our stay. We were told it would be full maybe in 2 months...Food. Food is included to a room price (breakfast, lunch and dinner). It is our 4th day now here. We eat chicken, rice, the same type of fish every day on lunch and dinner. Breakfast is very poor - 1 fried egg, a slice of tomato, 2 slices of cucumber, 2 pieces of bread, fried rice or noodles. A plate of 1 type of fruit is served after each meal. It is enough of food, but there is almost no chose :(Activities. There is absolutely nothing to do! The only entertainment in Bunaken island is diving/snorkeling. However, you should reach diving center somehow. We are provided with a taxi (3 weals motorbike), which is better than nothing. We have heard, a motorbike can be rented in a dry season. Now driving is quite complicated due to a rainy season and bad roads condition.Personal. The only person speaking English was not in the hotel during our stay. It was difficult to communicate with personal. However, they try their best to help.Price vs quality. Not worth it :( Unfortunately I cannot say that the price they ask is fair, taking into account all abovementioned issues. I would rate it double less than they ask.Come here if you don't need any activities, you like just to sit in a hotel room and for example read a book or enjoy seaview.

The resort is located on Bunaken Island. The decoration is tropical style, high-end and classy. The scenery outside the balcony is amazing. I feel it is the most beautiful hotel on the island. …
