The food, prepared by Agnes, was hands down the best we had in our 3 weeks traveling through Indonesia—every meal was a delight!The owner is not only warm and welcoming but also extremely knowledgeable about diving, making our stay both enjoyable and educational with all the stories she shared with us :)The atmosphere was so peaceful and relaxing, perfect for unwinding. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the coral reef right outside the accommodation was breathtaking! I can't recommend this place enough. It was truly an unforgettable experience and we're looking forward to visit again :)

It’s one of the most beautiful resorts i have ever been to. Its so peaceful and calm. The view is mesmerising. I would love to stay here for months if it had good stable internet and power. I wish my room had a fan ceiling and I could open the windows to let in the sea breeze. I want to return soon.

Our family of 5 – 2 - 50-somethings and 3 adult children – spent a fabulous week at Cha Cha. We just loved the vibe there. It is upscale, but not fussy; laid-back, but still with high standards of quality; intimate, but not overbearing. We thoroughly enjoyed getting to know all the players – Reiko (owner), Agnes (manager and chef), Moole (all things boat), Luna (Agnes’s sweet, funny, energetic pup!), and all the support staff. We felt well cared for from the moment we arrived. Our rooms were clean and comfortable with beautiful views especially at sunrise. We are not divers, but love snorkeling. Cha Cha was perfect for us. When not exploring the house reef, we went on 3 different excursions to other amazing reefs, hung out with dolphins, and watched the sunset after a late afternoon snorkeling outing. The food, curated and executed by Agnes, was the icing on the cake. We LOVED trying new (to us) Indonesian specialties as well as other types of cuisines. A true vacation, imo, does not require me to think about where or when the next meal will be. I prefer to spend my time and energy enjoying the incredible environment and sharing it with my family. Cha Cha delivered that by taking care of everything!

Relaxing resort with great view and excellent food!Reiko, the owner of Cha Cha has really made her dream come true in building and developing a beautiful resort plus having a great staff teamAgnes, in charge of management and cooking has definitely reached a level beyond my expectation: all home made indonesian and international cuisine made from scratch. The quality and taste of her food could definitely win her a Michelin Star in my opinion.All of the staff are so friendly and helpful.Always with a smile to greet and help you everyday!Everybody ( including Luna their dog) make you feel that you are a part of theCha Cha family. The conversations during meal times with Reiko, Agnes and the other guests are very amusing.The tastefully furnished and comfortable villa has a great view.Information that I would like to share with future guests:The resort is built on a slope, depending on the location of the villa not really suitable for guests with walking disabilities.Guests who are not used to the climate should be aware, that the air conditioning does not operate 24/7 ( only works when the resort generator is on)There is a fan but if there is no electrical power, which can happen anywhere and anytime in Indonesia , it will also not help you with the intense heat and high humidity in Bunaken.Snorkelling is great directly off the beach.Watershoes with rubber soles are required to get to the reef during low tide. Turtles, Lionfish, Rays, Clownfishes among other tropical fishes can be seen.Make sure you make excursion to Lekuan I-III in Bunaken as well as to Siladen( Corals are healthier and regenerating...we also encountered some Black Tip Reefsharks in shallow water near Kuda Laut Resort when we were snorkelling around the island)Depending on the weather and currents you may unfortunately encounter rubbish (mostly plastic) in the water. Enviromental protection is unfortunately not a big issue in Indonesia.Don't expect luxury in the villas ( no fridge, no watter kettles only thermos flask ) but they are very nicely furnished and decorated , very clean and have magnificent views.Thanks to all in Cha Cha! The resort definitely deserves a recommendation from us.

A standard room was booked by us, now more than 50% is charged when traveling to the property. Because of this we had to cancel and the property now doesn't want to honor the cancellation fees. Please be careful if you want to book this accommodation!

I went there about 20 years ago. I think this is one of the places that diving people definitely want to go. This is my first time seeing a drop-off! I was impressed!However, even if I do nothing for a day and just look at the ocean, I will naturally smile. At night, the reflection of the moon on the water is a fairy-tale world. It's one of those places you'll never forget. Reiko-san, are you okay?

After a relatively enjoyable week in Bali, Bunaken Cha Cha was on a totally different level. The staff here are super friendly - Reiko, Agnes, Cindy, Mandy, Mul….and others… and I really did not want to leave. Perfect location for divers, perfect for snorkelling, but also perfect for people who don’t like either of the above. I went into the village most days (45 mins one-way) partly to walk off the amazing food prepared by Agnes and her team..Italian, Mexican, Indonesian, French - there is really no cuisine that she has not mastered. I like boats so I also hired a local boatman - with help from the guys at the resort - and spent three memorable days exploring the nearby islands. I can’t remember when I last had such a great holiday. The rooms, by the way, are spacious and comfortable and it is lovely to goto sleep at night with the sound of waves. If you want to experience Indonesia at its best, away from crowds of beer-swilling tourists, try this amazing little archipelago. You will not be disappointed….

Amazing week! We’ve had pure luck visiting ChaCha with Dad in the middle of November, 6 days full of sun. The resort was clean, meals were remarkable and original, the hotel staff quickly introduced a family atmosphere. Everyday we were going for a morning snorkling trip (3/4 hours), visiting the best reefs. Afternoons were full of chill and relax. Highly recommended for those who seek peaceful holidays!

Excellent! We enjoyed ourselves. We're there from 16th to 19th Oct 2023.I want to correct a review posted in other platform that "the internet is completely non-existent", it is not true, we've internet connectivity and no problem at all. I could send/receive texts, emails, photos and video through the internet seamlessly.We're happy with the services and friendliness of all the staffs as well as the owner. The resort is clean, neat and welcoming.Meals for breakfast, lunch, tea break and dinner were tasty and hygienic and served with a big smile. We had very friendly conversation and sharing.Thank you. We will be back again.
