Best place to stay, eat and relax on Gili T. All of the staff are super helpful and friendly. It’s hard to find a good place to stay for a decent price these days but Mawar is definitely a hidden gem. The bungalows have all you need if you’re looking for budget accomodation. Maria takes special care of all of her guests and her pancakes are the best I’ve had in Indonesia. The restaurant certainly packs a flavour punch too with authentic Indonesian and good western food. The guys that operate the bike and snorkel rental are really nice and are always willing to help you out. They also organise snorkel trips and heaps of other adventures, anything you could want. I have been a regular on the island for five years and have seen the changes that have happened over time, I still stay at Mawar every single visit.

If you order food from the restaurant and lodging across from the beach, you can use the swimming pool even if you are not a guest.

Cheapest, in front of the beach. Not far from the pier. The service is very satisfying. If you have subscribed and ordered multiple rooms, you can get a free extrabed. You need to pay attention to the bathroom shower so that the water is hard, but there is a bathroom at the front. The rest is satisfactory and recommended hotel on Gili Trawangan.
