Juliantos by the sea

Juliantos is a beautiful spot to stay on Gili Air. I stayed here with family recently and after trying out other spots around Indo, including Gili Air over the years, I highly recommend Juliantos. The location is perfect and easy to find, the place is well set out but not ostentatious/ over the top and we loved how down to earth, lovely and helpful the hosts and staff were. The price was great too, making it affordable to stay for an extended period with a large group, although I must stress this is not a budget style hotel due to the layout, design and thoughtful touches. For example, I loved the tidal pool which was a lovely natural alternative to overly chlorinated pools. A big highlight was the SNORKELING which was world class. We saw turtles each day and thousands of varieties of fish - it was truly amazing. There’s plenty of equipment you can use if you don’t have your own and the snorkelling is suitable for beginners to well practiced underwater enthusiasts. The rooms are comfortable and ultra clean and although we were travelling with family, we had plenty of privacy and space. Hosts Tony and Julia have excellent local recommendations for food and activities around the place but we chose to eat at Juliantos most of the time as the local chefs on site make beautiful local dishes. Last but not least, Juliantos massage services were brilliant and once again very affordable. I had a foot or full body massage most days and left the island feeling totally rejuvenated albeit sad to leave! Juliantos is truly a very special spot to stay - a peaceful sanctuary with everything you need to totally relax in an unpretentious environment with considerate staff and hosts.

Julianthos is a beautiful and authentic accommodation run by a lovely and helpful couple from Australia.The staff is very helpful and accommodating. The accommodation is clean and exudes beach vibes. Free snorkeling equipment and loungers are available on the beach. Food and drinks are also very good and freshly prepared.We had a lovely stay.

A beautiful accommodation right on the beach. The rooms are simple, but clean and have everything you need. The hosts are incredibly friendly and accommodating. The hotel also has a prime location, right on the beach with free loungers, free snorkeling equipment and the option to rent scooters and bicycles.
