I would HIGHLY recommend a stay at Pondok Manis! I was in Indonesia for a 2 a week trip with friends and had the homestay recommended to by my Dad before I left. I went alone to get away from the hustle and bustle of Bali to see something positively different. As soon as I arrived I was blown away by how fluent Warren could speak to my driver, it showed that he knew exactly what he was doing and that he truely cared about the country and culture. I stayed there for 2 nights and i wish i could've stayed longer. He took me into the nearby jungles and local village where Warren and his sons showed me a completely fresh side of Indonesia that many tourists miss. He introduced me to the locals and gave me a taste of the true Indonesian experience. His wife, Narul is an incredible cook and so nice, I had my own room to stay in seperate from the main house and slept like a baby next to the rushing river. He had extensive knowledge of the local plants and people themselves and he made the experience one to remember. I felt incredibly welcome!! I will be going back as soon as I can and staying even longer.See you soon Warren!

Simply one of the best Airbnbs we’ve been to so far. Hidden deep in the jungles of North Bali, Warren and Nurul’s lovely home is truly a special place. Far away from any commercial touristy areas, we were able to experience true local Bali life. We’ll never forget falling asleep and waking up to the sounds of nature, especially the waterfall nearby.Warren, Nurul and their two boys were so kind and welcoming that by the end, we felt like a part of the family. We also had a lot of fun playing with their super cute cats. It’s worth checking out Aling-Aling waterfall, which is only a 5 minute walk away but whatever you do, definitely make sure you go on the hidden jungle trek. Zero tourists, hidden waterfalls (they’re not even on Google Maps), cooking lunch and swimming in the jungle, it was an experience we will never forget.We hope to be back someday!발리 여행하면서 현지 생활 체험 하고싶으신분에게 적극 추천합니다. 정말 아름다운 정글 환경속에서 아주 친절한 호스트 부부가 잘 챙겨주셨습니다. 다음 발리 여행에 또 가고싶은 아름다운 숙소입니다.

Warren and Nurul are hospitable hosts who shared a lot of useful information with us. They helped us with organizing laundry service, scooter rental and driver. Spending time in their cottage house gave us a possibility to feel the nature. The breakfast was tasty and nutritious. We especially liked jungle trip with Warren and Bolot. We truly recommend this homestay.

Its hard to put into words what staying with Warren and Nurul was like. It was easily the best part of our 3 week trip to Indonesia. They were so welcoming and we miss staying up and chatting about the world over a bintang. Warren wen't above and beyond to give us an unforgettable experience trekking and cooking lunch in the heart of the Balinese jungle, laughing and learning the whole way through. Nurul made us a beautiful breakfast every morning and was always making sure we were confortable. Their free spirit and inspiring way of life has stayed with us and we didn't want to leave. We were wholly welcomed into the village and had the chance to mix with the incredibly friendly locals. Stay with these guys, its the best thing we've ever done.

Our best stay till now in Indonesia! Warren is a great host and everything else also was perfect. A clean bungalow with 'jungle view', nice breakfast and such a beautiful pool. We felt very welcome and enjoyed our chats with Warren and Nurul. We felt part of their family yet they also gave us the chance to enjoy this great place in our own 😊. The jungle trip was the cherry on the cake!! If you want to have an unforgettable experience in rural Bali away from the tourists, than this is the place to go!

This is one of my only reviews I've ever left for a place and for a good reason! Go see Warren and Nurul and their perfect home bordering the untouched jungle (and a private, small waterfall!) If your done with the Bali tourist routes! Hospitality is second to none and it was one of my favorite places to stay in Bali and actually S.E.A! Heck my son learned to swim in his pool and played all day with his boys. We felt like family after only 3 nights and Warren took us very early down into town to make sure we boarded the right bus at the right price! We had wonderful talks wil the early mornings, while sipping home made ginger beer under the stars. Your home away from home indeed! The cabin is very small and simple, but we spend most of our time enjoying their beautiful home, garden, pool and veranda. That town was our favorite spot in Bali - simple, quiet and full of nature and waterfalls! And great bakso soup every evening from the frog truck :) HIGHLY recommend! Period.
