Niky and Sonya were amazing hosts. I immediately felt at home. They helped me organize guides upon arrival. The hostel is super clean, breakfast was superb and the kitchen facilities were great! They really really take care of their guests and will do everything to make you feel comfortable! They also offered great tips for sights/treks/etc and can get a guide to meet you in the hostel quickly (even during the Bailem festival- busiest week of the year). I really felt like part of the family and would come back to Wamena just to visit them! Thank you for everything!!

This is the nicest hostel I have been to during all my travelling. The owners give you the immediate feeling of a safe, reliable, caring home. They do anything for you, they really care, advise, look after you. They took me to the airport at 5:30 and would not accept money. They gave me a car and driver when I wanted to go to a restaurant at night. Would not accept money. Their breakfast is delicious . Use of washing machine is free. They know reliable guides.You will love it!

Backpackers and real travelers! This is your dream home in Wamena!Pintu Biru (Blue doors) is a well designed, well equipped, well run hostel, the best of its class in Indonesia, catering perfectly to all the needs of a western traveler. The hosts speak good English, they're knowledgeable and helpful, the rooms and common spaces are comfortable and homey, there's a greenhouse rooftop, a work-out room, big and clean bathrooms, hot shower(!), drinking water dispenser, a lounge with couches, great brewed coffee of local produce(!) and safety lockers. You will get all the help you need for your trekking and staying in the highlands.Also, it is your all-in-one place for education about the highlands, coffee production and processing, trekking and planning your tours around Wamena.Don't miss this place, don't waste your buck on expensive hotels, come to Pintu Biru.(Disclaimer: I'm genuinely happy that I found this place almost accidentally, and it is my honest opinion, I'm not paid for this review, I really mean it. It was a relief to stay there for a week after all the dodgy hotels in Indonesia.)
