A good hotel has profitable prospects if it is managed properly but in reality this hotel is now like "live without wanting to die without wanting to" due to bad management where the manager is an 89 year old grandmother who doesn't want to employ professional staff to improve the management of this hotel because according to the grandmother This is the one who is more expert than these professionals, because of the selfishness of the management, this hotel has been in deficit since the 1998 monetary crisis until now, even though the daughter of the hotel manager's grandmother is a hotelier who graduated from Switzerland but was unable to change anything, it is really a shame. This hotel is supported by other businesses so that it can only operate for monthly maintenance.

I seriously do NOT know how anyone Is rating this above a 3. I am rating this from the perspective of a Western hotel guest. It is possible that what this hotel offers is aimed at more local clientele than those seeking 3 or more star accommodations. In fairness there are no hotels in the Toba region of any great quality but this one was just weird.First, the website fails to show the long staircase from the parking area and cafeteria at the top, past the cabins, to the lake level front desk. This is difficult to manage with luggage, or if u are elderly. At night its dangerous because they are poorly lit.Second, after we checked in, we toured the grounds and were very disappointed. This hotel has been allowed to fall apart. The grass, shrubs, and ornamental plants are all over grown. There are feral cats everywhere as well as 2 dogs that fought constantly. The โbeachโ was a disaster covered in debris - see photo. The animals own the beach based on the amount of tracks.Finally, the first room was bizarre. There was no way any human with knees could use the toilet since it was 5โ from the shower wall. We were given another room but it had not been cleaned. An employee came and made the beds but the floor was dirty and there was dried urine covering the toilet that he did not touch even after we asked.The place is severely understaffed even for January. The manager (maybe owner) was available only by phone.It may be better during high season but the cats and overgrown plants tells me that there is no effort put in by the owner to provide any positive guest experience.We did not stay the night. Dragging our bags up those steps saved me a visit to the gym that day.
