We stayed for 3 days 2 nites at 2 (side-by-side) superior bungalows. All bungalows have their own balconies & 2 rattan chairs + small coffee table. Perfect place to enjoy majestic view of the lake toba with your tea/coffee/snack. All rooms have fantastic lake view.It was a very relaxing stay,you can swim in the lake or dip in the swimming pool. They served good food. My kids loved the pizza. The lady boss prepared the pizza from scratch ⭐❤️ and it tasted way better than pizza hut or domino's...We ordered thrice 👍Clean rooms, with hot shower & modern toilets. We had great sleep with comfy beds & pillows. The staff were very helpful too. Highly recommended! Thanks Tuk Tuk Bungalows 🌹👍

We really liked our stay at Timbul hotel. We had a big family room. Food is good, staff is very nice.The location is ideal for families because it’s quiet. The only disadvantage is that you need to rent motorbikes but this gives you a great mobility as well.I strongly recommend it !

We loved our stay there, in a Batak room. Out of the touristic hotels, it was a relaxing and quiet place along the lake. They cook very well also for a good price. Thank you Tuk Tuk timbul !

+: Very quiet location-: the bathroom has foul smelling water,Distorting bathroom mirror and burnt out light bulb.No wifi in the rooms,The catering service is carried out by inexperienced teenagers who do not understand English well, plus I was very ill. Specify no spicy otherwise they will kill you.The bored boss is stingy with information and we have the impression of disturbing her in these crosswords or her mobile when we ask questions.The services are generally over-evaluated.

Dirty, smelly room, lots of mosquitoesThe bathroom was really terrible because the water was small, I couldn't go to the toilet, the curtains had holes on purpose so people could peek in. Hot water is offThe foreigner, the owner of the place (the husband) was very arrogant, he thought we were taking a ride in the car, he got angry with him and brought a machete, when he found out we were going to stay because he had already paid, he was embarrassed himself. What a very bad service.Quite the first and last to this beautiful but very disappointing place.One more thing, the arrogant foreigner would be better expelled from Greater Indonesia

Stayed here for 8 nights. Room is simple but sufficient. Really enjoyed the lake. I had most of my meals here and the food is reasonable good. Staff are friendly. There are a few great restaurants up the hill too. Also rented a bike 150k for a day.

The view was pretty good, but when I arrived and immediately lay down my body itched until it turned red, then there were lots of small animals flying around at night so I couldn't sit on the terrace, there were also lots of red ants on the terrace, I told them to clean the ants on the terrace but the chairs, trash cans, doormats Everything was scattered and not returned to its place. Here it's hard to get to the lobby if it's raining. There's no umbrella provided in the room. When you check in when you're hungry, it's immediately raining. When you want to order food, you're told to take it to your room, you don't want the employees to take it because of the rain. In the room you don't have an umbrella. Access to buy food is difficult.

It's away from most of the attraction In samosir, so definitely need to book tour guide or bike
I took the traditional hut , really need to improve on cleanliness . There were cockroach eggs on bed , bathroom

The rooms are clean, the bathrooms are clean, the hot water functions well, the rooms have a direct view of the lake and the place is quiet. It's just that the way down is a bit steep. Great place!

After 5 years we came back and we loved it even more. The rooms are spacious, spotless clean and comfortable. We had one of the last available traditional Batak houses right at the lake front with a little terrace and million dollar views on to the lake. The family owning this place is super professional and very friendly, helpful with everything. You will feel rightaway welcomed and like at home away from home. Almost all rooms are lake front and some up a small hill with superb lake views.Food is excellent too.Great value for the money.We are planning already to come back next year to stsy a couple of months.Thank you, family for everything. We loved every minute of our stay.
