Not so spacious but cozy, clean, and neat

Please read carefully:This is my fifth long trip to beautiful Indonesia in 5 years and my second to amazing Jogja, so I am not a new comer.Cons:Staff doesn't speak any English, but at least they tried using Google translator.Asked for a quiet room and was located in front of main road and a poor tennis court converted to a loud kids playground.Communal floors full of female hair and the whole property is far from being spotlessly clean.Lights went out several times in the evening, leaving the whole building in pitch dark for long minutes.Doors banging and loud chattering from adjacent room and outside staff till late at night. Kept waking me up randomly at 11pm, then midnight, then 12:30 am when I could hear chairs being moved from downstairs.Wake up from 6:05 with bonus banging doors, non stop roosters chanting and distant dogs barking. At 6:20 am (!), a guy from the staff came knocking at my door, offering me free breakfast (consisting of bottled milk and one industrial packed pastry) as a compensation for the distress I had to endure, but I firmly refused. Could hear music from outside starting at 6:30 and neighborhours lawning their garden at 7 on a Sunday morning (!) Moms and kids gathering in front of main door, shouting like hell at 7:30 am.Finally, I decided to leave the place despite having paid in advance for two nights stay.Doors/windows don't close properly, augmenting the noise and welcoming mosquitoes inside the room and bathroom.Old, stained bed linens and some bed bugs too, so I had to try sleeping with my clothes on.Old wool bed covers.Only one towel per guest.Free toiletries consist of one shabby, cheap soap dispenser.Very far from city centre and mainattractions, so you will need to invest an extra (average) 45k on grab bike fee to and from the property, and if you go to town twice per day, it sums up to (circa) 90k.Definitely too pricey for what you get and they only accept cash payment to save money on pos equipment.No WiFi detected.Pros:Beautiful house in a slightly decadent residential area.The bathroom was overall clean.
