Bad service and very sorry because I stayed 2 days and 2 nights, the water wasn't working at all, the owner I chatted with only answered yes" without any handling and after I waited for me to call it turned out my number was blocked. I tried calling using my other number. At first it was picked up and then blocked again then I used my wife's number and still no response, just read it

Actually, the room is not bad for transit... what's really unfortunate is that the guard didn't stay at the location, almost couldn't check in because it was late (I WA and phoned 8 times but they weren't answered). Luckily there was a stall keeper in front who helped prepare and clean the room..The mattress in room number 3 was a bit damaged

We stayed at Ijen Basecamp for two nights and it was pretty nice. Our host was so nice and fun! We rented a motorbike through him to go to Baluran National Park (amazing place) for 85k (for 24h), and also used his service to do the Kawah Ijen hike for 300k/person (which is a really good price).Don't except much from the rooms, which are really basic: a mattress, a rug, and a fan. The nights were really hot but do-able with the fan. Also, the place is close to a mosque, so you will hear the calls to prayer done by the muezzin several times a day and really early in the morning (around 3:15 when we were there). With earplugs, we managed to fall asleep again after that.The bathroom is shared, not private, but really okay. Felt like it was our own when we were there as there was only another couple in another room. No hot water in the shower but it's so hot in here that you don't really need it.There's an Alphamart and an Indomaret close to the basecamp.Long story short, really okay place for two nights if your standards are not super high, really practical thanks to its close location to the train station and the ferry station, and with a super nice guy with whom you can have good chats and who can have prices for you for the activities around.
