We had an amazing time there. Agus is much more than a host. He treated us like friends, showed us around the village and arranged everything what we asked for. The location is so great because it’s off track from normal tourist routes- we we’re the only foreigners in the village and everybody welcomed us with us smile and we we’re offered fruits on the street. Still just 2 minutes walking from the homestay you can find a really good coffeeshop and in walking distance there are several restaurants, Indonesian, western or fusion kitchen.

What a brilliant homestay this is! Agus goes out of his way to look after you and make sure you have a proper Javanese cultural experience. Stop off for a couple of nights here before or after your Ijen tour - it’s totally worth it 👍

Our stay at Agus' homestay was the best! If you want to have an authentic experience, in a wonderful village, surrounded by rice fields, rubber trees, coffee plantations, Kawah Ijen, waterfalls, it's THE place for you! Agus was really helpful and generous for our family. We felt at home!

Through Airbnb, the homestay position is located in a village or residential area. Not directly on the side of the road, you have to go through a small alley and walk ±50m from the road. However, parking for cars and motorbikes is provided by the owner.The owner is a local resident and very friendly, especially to tourists. Before coming here, call and make a reservation first. The owner's house is located in front of the homestay building. The owner is kind enough to provide guidance and assistance for trips to Banyuwangi; providing loans of masks, goggles and flashlights for trips to Ijen.There are 2 (two) bedrooms provided; one uses a spring bed, and the other uses a rotten mattress (retained for visitors who want to try a traditional sleeping experience, mainly due to requests from foreign tourists). The bedroom is equipped with a fan.There are 2 (two) bathrooms provided; one uses a head shower and sitting toilet (in the room), and the other uses a urn + ladle and a squat toilet (same as before).The living room is equipped with a sofa, table and chairs. The kitchen is complete with a sink, stove, cooking utensils, plates, glasses, and spoons and forks.

This is the BEST home stay I’ve ever experienced ! Agus is one of the nicest, smartest and helpful people I’ve ever met! He will help you plan your trek to Ijen, and save you a lot of money and hardship! The rooms are fantastic and clean, his wife makes beautiful food and if you’re planning on doing mount Ijen without a tour (very easy by the way-cost me 15$ in total) then stay here- he will provide very helpful information and supplies for your journey! He even took us to an amazing warung restaurant and helped me get to the train station! Amazing family with an amazing home stay ! 11/10

The place is hidden, but easy to find. Cool and pleasant environment.Located on the edge of the Osing traditional village which is rich in culture.The friendliness of the owner and local residents is truly extraordinary. I think this is the right reason to keep coming back to Banyuwangi
